Situation

• Hemimaxillectomy for adenoid cystic carcinoma,

irradiation of the maxilla and skull base

• Part of the right zygomatic bone was also

resected (and irradiated)

• Treatment:

– 2 long implants with zygomatic anchorage left

– 1 long implant with pterygoid anchorage left

– 1 zygoma implant on right side (failed)

– Overdenture bar and overdenture on 3 remaining

implants

07/08/2006: Intake with carcinoma in the right palate

05/09/2006: pathology: adenoid cystic carcinoma with perineural invasion

Treatment with 4 zygoma implants (1 failed)
