CLASS PROPHECY

Let's take a trip in our 1970 jetmobile. First let's cruise over into Montana. We see a huge ranch with cattle as far as the eye can see. Here's one with a hat on: oh, that must be Harvey Hansen. We see Shyla working in the yard, with little Junior helping her out. Since our time is limited, we can only have a short chat and be on our way to sunny California.

We come into a huge scientific research building m Los Angeles. The sign on this door says Dr. Ed ward Divine; this must be the place. Dr. Divine tells us that he has had many fascinating EXPERIMENTS since he left school. He is quite a success now in the scientific field.

Now we must hurry into Arizona where we find Carole Osuansky (formerly Carole Ball) living in the town of Phoenix. We arrived at her home in the middle of the afternoon, but didn't find her at home, so we decided to wait in her back yard. To our surprise we find a swimming pool. When Carole came home we found that she had been working as a stenographer. She tells us she had a long distance call from Seattle, Washington from her old pal Mary Lee Tvrdy. She said she was married now, but failed to tell what her new name was. She is the top designer now for a big firm. We were happy to hear that she is doing so well and wish her further success for the future.

Nowwe'rebackinour old home town--Ceresco. The mailbox on this house says "Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Samuelson." As we step inside we see Marian, formerly Johnson, now Mrs. Samuelson. Glenn is a mechanic in his own garage now and doing fine. He tells us he got a letter from his school pal Willard Pearson, now making.his home in Oregon. He also is a mechanic, and his motto is "I work on anything with four wheels and a motor." In his free time he drives race cars.

Let'sgooutof town now to a farm. Here's a beautiful farm house. Here comes someone on a tractor. It looks like- -it couldn't be--but it is, Jane Pearson, now Mrs. Ray Otto. Their farm is prospering well now, and Jane found that farm work was not so bad after all. She is an active member in the F. F. W. A. --Future Farmers Wives of America.

As we go further out of town, we come to a large dairy farm. Outside we find Marilyn Hornung She and her father are running a large dairy farm. Time is getting short so we '11 have to rush into Lincoln.

Here we see a huge veterinarian building. Here's a sign that reads "Dr Ronald Bradd. " He has come quite far in the veterinarian field now and is still working for higher success. He tells us he got a card from Edward Ostransky. Edward writes that his job is very dead and his associates are very co-operative and never talk back. By the way, he's a mortician now.

Page 6: CAROLE BALL - rcentral.org...can't say something nice, don't say any· thing at all. Edward D1vlne wills his ability to Dennis Johnson to drive a model A for three years successfully

Next we'll make our final stop in the blue hills of Kentucky. We come to a small farm house. We see Marilyn, formerly Bergman now a Mrs. , working out in the garden. She has two children now and she and her husband are living happily on their beautiful little farm.

Reluctantly we leave our former classmates to go back to our old routine. It was a great thrill to have re-established contact with the class of 1957. We are looking forward to going on another trip to see what further success our classmates have had.

CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1944, most of the present senior class began their elementary education, however all the

seniors did not begin their schooling in Ceresco. Only three of the graduates, Marian Johnson, Jane Pearson, and Willard Pearson, enrolled in the kindergarten class. In the first grade, we gained another member, Dennis Bohaty who stayed until the fourth grade. At the beginning of our third year, Gary Johnson joined us only to leave after the fifth grade. In the early spring of 1950 a new member enrolled in our class, Harvey Hansen, which increased the number to four.

To these four, Edward Divine, Glenn Samuelson, Mary Lee Tvrdy, Ronald Bradd, Carole Ball, Marilyn Bergman, EdwardOstransky, Owen Palmer, Kenneth White, Vladimir Benes, joined us at the beginning of our freshman year. At the end of the second semester, Kenneth White transferred to Raymond High leaving only 13 members.

At the beginning of the Sophomore year we lost Owen Palmer and Vladimir Benes, and gained Marilyn Hornung. At the beginning of the Junior year we still numbered 12 until the second semt:ster when Ed Dinges transferred to Ceresco.

In our senior year we lost Ed Dinges, and our graduating class then consisted of 12. They are: Glenn Samuelson, Mary Lee Tvrdy, Ronald Brodd, Carole Ball, Marilyn Bergman, Edward Ostransky, Jane Pearson, Harvey Hansen, Willard Pearson, Marian Johnson, Marilyn Hornung, and Edward Divine.

We have had a lot of fun during these years, and although it has been a lot of work, we will never forget the friendships and associations of our school days.
