BIC SUP ambassadors Carine, Manu and their daughters Lou

& Shade (pictured left), were early converts to SUP.

They spend their days traveling the planet with boards and

paddles, seeking out beautiful islands, stunning waves and

native cultures: Tuamotu, Marquises, Palau, India, just a few of

the destinations logged in their SUP travel diary. Then there are

the elite sportsmen and women, including BIC SUPs own Celine

Guesdon, Eric Terrien, Chase Kosterlitz. They push themselves to

the very limits over long distances in open ocean swells and sprint

through marker buoys in the surf zone, attempting to discover

their own personal limits and find out just how fast they really are.

Followers of a more Zen approach prefer paddling away from the

crowds, using their board as a mobile Yoga mat or personal gym

in the search for physical and spiritual balance. Julie Roach and

Jodelle Fitzwater are a few BIC SUP ambassadors who helped

pioneer this exciting new discipline. Other enthusiasts appreciate

the benefits of compact, portable inflatable boards for sailing

and boating adventures as well as convenient air travel. And of

course there are the wave riders, constantly searching for the

When it came time to design a smaller, more compact version of our best-selling 10’6 and 11’6 Performer models we knew we had our

work cut out for us. After many months of development and testing we hit on something special. For novice riders under 150lbs the 9’2

is a stable flat-water cruiser that’s compact and lightweight (23lbs!), making it a breeze to transport, carry and store. For intermediate

riders up to 180lbs it’s the perfect surf SUP when you’re ready to move to a shorter more maneuverable board. For larger riders the

Launched in 2015 and lauded for their impressive performance, smooth feel on the water and eye-catching graphics, the Tracer series has

been updated to improve speed and glide as well as comfort and stability. The flat section under foot has been extended forward towards

the nose to improve stability while a lower profile piercing nose increases efficiency by smoothly parting the water on entry. A squared off

‘chisel’ shaped tail reduces drag and the standing area was revised to more efficiently shed water. Deck attachment points make it easy to

secure extra gear for extended trips. A new brushed white Carbon-Innegra finish throughout the board looks great, reduces weight and

improves durability while protecting the board from overheating in the sun.

If you’re looking for a fast, versatile, all-conditions race board with surprising stability the Tracer World Series is your board. While similar

to the Tracer series, World Series boards are narrower, lighter weight and have a shape focused on speed while maintaining stability in a

wide range of conditions. A piercing ‘vee’ nose parts the water smoothly while a flat bottom shape maintains stability despite the boards

narrow profile. Added volume in the nose helps to keep the board from wallowing in choppy conditions while a recessed standing area

lowers the riders center of gravity for a more stable ride. A new brushed white Carbon-Innegra finish throughout the board looks great,

reduces weight and improves durability while protecting the board from overheating in the sun.

The Allround series delivers on all the benefits of our unique SUP AIR construction technology in shapes that excel in a wide variety of

conditions, from flat water cruising to surfing in ocean waves. The 8’4 is tailored for kids and small riders up to 120lbs and can be ridden

by larger more experienced riders looking for an inflatable with good surf performance. The 10’ works great for novice riders

up to 175lbs and the 10’6 is suitable for riders up to 200lbs. Allround boards come standard with nose and tail carry handle, O-ring leash

attachment point, universally compatible center fin box and premium diamond-groove EVA deck pads. The 10’ and 10’6 also include

bungee deck rigging for storing gear.

style deck pad provides plenty of space for your on-water yoga and fitness practice. At just 21 pounds, the FITNESS is super light and

RIVER Stable and Playful whitewater performance. If running rapids on a SUP is your bag, the RIVER is your board. Thoroughly tested

At 9’2” the RIVER is compact, rigid (15psi), rugged and maneuverable. At 36” wide and 6” thick it’s a super-stable platform that easily

punches through waves and swirly, boily eddylines. Six grab handles are carefully placed along the rails for easy access when you need

to quickly pull yourself back on board. These rugged handles also work great for securing gear with cam straps if you need to bring along

more gear than the standard bungee deck rigging will accommodate. Optimized nose and tail rocker help keep the board on top of the

water through holes and prevents pearling while surfing. A Low-profile permanent quad flexi-fin set-up is ideal for running shallow rapids

and for maximum maneuverability while the universal center fin box lets you attach a longer center fin (included) for added stability and

The table below is designed to help you choose the right Stand Up Paddleboard for the type of activities you plan to use your board for and

the size of the riders who will be using the board. The basic rule is, the heavier the rider, the more board volume and width you will need

for a stable ride. However, extra width isn’t always better as a wider board typically has less glide and can be more difficult to paddle

properly for a smaller rider. Also, more volume than you need will mean you’re carrying around extra size/weight. IF YOU ARE LOOKING
