Weather Activities and classes will be canceled on days that Canby School District is closed due to inclement weather. Closures are announced on the CSD website, local radio, and television stations.

Refund Policy Full refunds for classes of one or two sessions given up to one week prior to first session. No refunds the week class begins.Refunds for classes of three or more sessions will be given prior to the second class, less a $5 service fee. We are unable to refund some fees. Refunds requested a week or more before the first class will receive a full refund

Adult Kempo-Jujitsu

Introduced into the US from

Japan, Kempo-Jujitsu is highly

effective self-defense and

martial arts (including multilevel

striking, throwing and

grappling) that develop the body

and mind through a holistic

approach (including several

Japanese humanities and yoga).

Moreover, it is grounded in

philosophy that teaches

students to seek non-violent

resolutions to conflict. Troy

Soles-sensei is a Sei Kosho

Shorei Kay international certified

instructor and a certified coach

with a Master’s Degree and

more than 30 years of

experience.

Babysitting Safety (Ages 11-15) The Child and Babysitting Safety

(CABS) program covers child

safety and basic care techniques

for infants and children. CABS

stresses the priority to keep you

and the children you care for

safety. Babysitting is not just

“watching” the children, but

being responsible for their safety

and well-being. When you are

caring for a child, you are taking

care of a parent(s) most prized

possession. Program content

from Health & Safety Institute.

Certification card issued upon

successful completion of course.

Guitar, Beginning (Age 12-Adult) Students will learn the basics of

guitar including chords,

strumming, picking and basic

songs. Designed for entry level

and beginning students but

intermediate are welcome for

enhanced study. Bring your

electric or acoustic guitar.

Optional: Students are

encouraged to stay after class

and play with Canby Guitar

Ensemble for no additional cost

(during the same term).

Advanced Photography course.

combines elements of yoga,

popular at The Fitness Studio

Understanding Retirement, Social Security & Medicare

(Age 50-Over)

As baby boomers become S.S.

and Medicare age, most do not

know the penalties for not

applying on time and how

Medicare Supplements and Part

D drug programs work. This class

will explain the history and

organization of Social Security

and Medicare. How to determine

and claim benefits, and how to fit

these into your overall retirement

plan. Tuition is for 2 family

members.

Watercolor with Jude Welter (Ages 18-Adult) Jude will be giving individualized

demos to illustrate a certain

technique in this exciting

medium! If you’ve painted

before, please bring your

regular watercolor kit and a

reference photo/project you’d

like to work on. If you are a new

painter, please hold off bringing

any supplies until after the first

class. New painters should

consider taking the “Intro to

Watercolor” for an overview of

what’s required in the weekly

classes. A little painting

experience is necessary for

Jude’s classes.

ideas to begin a new work of art,

stalled on and we’ll get it going

again! Jude will assist the

painters individually to complete

their paintings. There will be

adequate time for individual or

group critique. This class is for

painters with some experience

and Jude will NOT be doing a

demo during this time, but will

assist on personal projects.
