ROSS PENHALL

Ross Penhall on the field done in 2007

Canadian painter Ross penhall painted on the field and was done

in 2007. I liked the painting on the field because it had a lot of the art elements like value there was a lot of value in this art piece

because Ross used a lot of different kinds of shades of green. some other things I notice was

the shape. The shape Ross Penhall used were organic shapes to create his art piece. For most of his pantings he use oil paints.

because he used the elements of art like value.

Ross used a lot of value by doing different greens and

LAWREN HARRIS

lawren harris done in the 1920’s

Lawren harris is a famous canadian painter that painted a lot of different

art pieces. Lawren harris began painting in the 1920s and became apart

of the group of seven. I chose this painting because I thought this painting was one of his best. In this painting

Lawren used a lot of value. The value he used were the different shades of blue and grey. Lawren harris also

used a lot of color like blending in two different colors. Lawren harris also used space because he didnt use a

a corner of it he used the whole canvas. Lawren didnt use a lot of detail and not a lot of colors which made his painting

very simple. His subjects were mountains, lakes, cloud, and sometime trees. Some emotions I felt about this piece were happy and made me smile I think it made me smile

because he used happy colors not sad colors. My opinion was I really liked the art piece and it was nice and cheerful.

LAWREN HARRIS

Lawren Harris doesn't put a lot of detail into his paintings and does not use a lot of details and does not use a lot of color. I chose this painting because I thought it was really good. Some elements I saw were the value. The value I saw were how he used different shades of blues and grey.

Lawren used a lot of color and blended some to make a different color. Lawren also used space by

EMILY CARREmily Carr painted two paintings I really like they are called autumn in france and Brendan church and were both done in

the 1900s. Some elements I noticed were value I noticed the value because she different shades of yellow and green. Some other elements I saw were the

spacing for the two paintings she didn’t use just a little spot of the canvas she

used the whole thing the emotion I felt about these two paintings were happy I felt happy because the colors she used

they weren’t sad colors they were happy. The media Emily used were oil paints.
