Announcement The JoDon discovery was made late afternoon on August 03 2011. The JoDon discovery appears to be one of the most intense hydrothermally emplaced copper bearing discoveries ever made at the St. Juliens project. It is considered more significant because while there have been numerous excellent discoveries made on the property, some of which grade up to 22.5% copper, the new JoDon discovery is both more intense, larger in width and has a radically different strike direction than all the numerous high grade mineralized areas found to date. Upon making this exceptional new discovery and because of the obvious concentration of chalcopyrite (Copper Ore) exposed near surface in this scale, the entire field crew has been temporarily re-directed from other work to focus on this showing and make a team effort to expose the extent of this new discovery. We have encountered ultra high grade occurrences in the past that are similar to this, but not in the same vicinity. This new occurrence extends the known and documented zone of high grade zones by an impressive order of magnitude. While the full extent or grade of this discovery is not yet fully documented, it is however already proving to be well above the best discovery expectations we anticipated to make this year prior to the drilling program that we recently started.

How It Happened Field crew members Don McGrath and Joe Freeman where taking a break from a hard day of overburden stripping at the Copper Cod prospect and were having coffee and discussions with the rest of the crew at the camp station onsite. During the break they decided to have a walk around and being the prospectors that they are, they started having a look at the ground and breaking surface rocks as they went. The tide (sea) was very low that day allowing them to walk in areas along the tidal zone that isn’t usually accessible. The boys walked along the shoreline in an area about 120 meters south of first drilling setup, chipping and looking at rocks as they went. After cracking on a bunch of rocks Don and Joe came to an area on a small peninsula south of the original Copper Cod showing and north of the M Cove prospect. After making a series of early scratches on the kelp and barnacle covered rocks, the boys became ecstatic once they realized that they could see mineralization just less than a centimetre under the surface in one of their chips. At that point they called for the rest of the crew and for the diamond cutting saw. With that chip they made a remarkable discovery. The rest of their spectacular discovery is documented in the pictures below. As a result of their interest and constant attention to prospecting, Don and Joe have made one of the most promising discoveries to date on the property. We can only thank them and the entire crew for their hard work and dedication and we also express our commitment to work and to share the enjoyment with them. New discovery though team work is a fundamental goal of our company.
