The WAT Program (Work Adjustment Training) Program The WAT Program is a DRS program Crystal Perou’s and Beth Ray’s classes participate in daily. This program teaches career exploration, job skills, social skills and life skills. This is ac-complished through doing the laundry for the football team, trips to different businesses, some cleaning around the school and projects done for the teachers and staff. The Little Stress Kit teachers received last week was one of these projects. Last year, some of the projects the students did were; making note pads, stress balls, bean bags, and they did some cooking activities. This year some other projects in the works with the hope teachers will enjoy.

Working the uniformsSenior Jaden Taylor and junior James Goodwin work the laundry for the all the sports. After every athletic class, stu-dents involved the WAT program wash, dry, fold, hang and sort items.

PIGGY BANKS- GOING, GOING, GONE... Returning to Mac as a ceramics and art teacher, 2001 graduate Nicole Lorenzen’s ceramic art classes has been busy making piggy banks. As in past years, the ceramics will be auctioned to the public in the high school’s library Proceeds will benefit the Lawton Food Bank. Please come and bid on a bank between 4-6 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 3. “Working on this piggy bank project was humbling because I knew it was going to a good cause,” junior NickMahan said.

THIS IS HOW WE DO IT ... AT MAC!
