What method of piracy and illegal sharing are there for the various

media forms?

MUSIC

YouTube You can use file sharing sites such as 4Shared.com which is when someone uploads a song on to the site and then everyone can listen to it.

If you haven't paid for something and you download it on to your phone , computer or tablet then you are illegally listening to that music.

If you download anything on to a memory stick then that is illegal as well.

Films

If you film a movie in a cinema and then put that on a DVD and sell it then you are selling pirated DVDsFilms can be watched

illegally on websites that are specific to doing this. It is illegal because most sites you don’t pay for.

If you watch a film that hasn’t come out on DVD yet then you are watching an illegal film.

Why is file sharing illegal?

File sharing is illegal because if everyone did it

then no one would be able earn any money so they

would go out of business. This would ruin it for

everyone.
