Visas and Travel Information 1.0 Visa Requirements All foreign delegates are required to obtain entry visas (where applicable) from the Zimbabwe Embassy or Consular Services offices in their respective countries .For more information about visa requirements for entry into Zimbabwe, please contact the Zimbabwe Embassy in your country. 2.0 Currency Zimbabwe has a multi-currency monetary policy and the following currencies are tradable albeit the United States Dollar is the predominant currency: The United States Dollar, British Pound Sterling, South African Rand, Botswana Pula. Approach any Commercial Bank for advice about other currencies. 3.0 Weather The Country experiences two distinct seasons; Winter and Summer. In Winter temperature can drop to as low as -5 degrees Celsius and in Summer temperatures can sow to about 38 degrees Celsius. The Conference takes place at the onset of Winter and you are advised to take out warm clothes. 4.0 Language English is the predominant business language. 5.0 Health Alert It is advisable to drink bottled and borehole water during your stay. Zimbabwe is currently an Ebola free Country. No known or confirmed cases of the epidemic have been reported in the country. You are encouraged to be personally responsible for your health and personal hygiene at all times. Always wash your hands with soap or sanitizer to maintain optimal personal hygiene. 6.0 Security Remember to be personally responsible for your security and the security of your personal belongings at all times. Always carry your Passport and Identification particulars. Should you want to walk around the city or anywhere out of the hotel, ask for assistance from the Hotel’s Help Desk.
