While the Nile Sat and the Arab Sat have launched new satellites, High Definition is the name of the game in this part of the world as the more advanced world is edging more towards 3-D television, which has become a reality. In the Arab World's most undisputed leader in media and entertainment, Egypt, the second round of Cairo MET is taking place at the Cairo International Conference Centre (CICC) on 20 - 23 February. Cairo MET (Media and Entertainment Trends) is not yet another event to display gadgets and technologies, but a platform for very rich industries to meet and learn about policies, regulations, deregulations, technologies and more. With the rise of IPTV and Mobile TV, as well as other vehicles to carry content to viewers, television and cinema shall never be the same. Accordingly, this important event which will combine producers, channel owners and experts will make use in being held in Hall 5 of the CICC adjacently with one of the region's top technology events - Cairo ICT - held in the other four halls and where mobile and fixed line operators as well as IPTV providers and FTTx integrators. But this event will not only focus on Radio and Television, as it covers a wider scope that makes it the richest event in the Arab/African world and perhaps beyond. 20 -23 February Cairo International conference Centre  www.cairoict.com

CairoMET

The Arab World is now rich with a wide variety of TV stations along the horizons of entertainment of all types;

and most are free to air with minor exceptions. While the Nile Sat and the Arab Sat have launched new

satellites, High Definition is the name of the game in this part of the world as the more advanced world is

edging more towards 3-D television, which has become a reality.

In the Arab World's most undisputed leader in media and entertainment, Egypt, the second round of Cairo

MET is taking place at the Cairo International Conference Centre (CICC) on 20 - 23 February. Cairo MET

(Media and Entertainment Trends) is not yet another event to display gadgets and technologies, but a

platform for very rich industries to meet and learn about policies, regulations, deregulations, technologies and more.

With the rise of IPTV and Mobile TV, as well as other vehicles to carry content to viewers, television

and cinema shall never be the same. Accordingly, this important event which will combine

producers, channel owners and experts will make use in being held in Hall 5 of the CICC

adjacently with one of the region's top technology events - Cairo ICT - held in the other four

halls and where mobile and fixed line operators as well as IPTV providers and FTTx integrators.

But this event will not only focus on Radio and Television, as it covers a wider scope that

makes it the richest event in the Arab/African world and perhaps beyond.

Tradefairs International - the organizers of Cairo MET - have come up

with the right mix of exhibitors under one roof and have also come upwith the right connection to professionals from the Arab/African region to

be present at this prestigious event. The debates put forth at the forum will

create the proper market place for vendors of Broadcast & Production

Equipment, Digital Video Solution providers, Satellite Communications Compa-

nies, Production companies and Media Cities.

The venue is not a traditional place that combines this group alone, but also includes

Display solution providers, Telepresence providers, High Definition Film Projection

Suppliers, Live Concert and Event Sound, Light and Effect providers as well as PA

System providers. Also housed within the event are the Post-production Equipment provid-

ers, the Software Providers, Storage Vendors and Visual Solution Specialist.

For the first time both at Cairo MET and elsewhere, a new segment has been added this yearto cover Museum, Gallery & Opera technologies in display, light, sound, security and systems for

closed museums and galleries as well as site museums.
