CadSoft was established in the late 80’s by 2 engineers in Germany.

- The idea was to create an affordable Schematic and PCB editor solution program that would offer an intuitive interface and be used in almost any electronic designs.

- Offer a full featured version of the program free, and include free technical support.

After 20 years of development EAGLE:

- has been awarded ‘Product of the year’ six times in a leading German electronics magazine “ ELEKTRONIK”

- is used in almost all educational institutions in the US and Germany

EAGLE Professional Full Featured single user license is less than€1.499 with no maintenance fee. Upgrades are a fraction of the initial investment and are optional.

Altium Designer cost € 4.995 and maintenance is €1.500/year, if the program hasn’t been maintained upgrade is € 2.500

Zuken Cadstar cost € 4.995 and maintenance is €1.500/year
