GEOGRAPHY 412: WATER MANAGEMENT PANEL PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS CONTENT As a panelist, you will be ‘briefing’ the class on a specific topic. Your task is to become the expert on this topic, and convey the key information in an objective manner to your fellow students. Your presentation should provide information that is: RELEVANT OBJECTIVE COMPREHENSIVE YOUR MARK 25% INSTRUCTOR'S MARK 20% of final mark PEER MARK 5% of final mark TIME LIMIT PER PERSON 4 MINUTES - PREPPED IN ADVANCE 4 MINUTES - FREESTYLE Respond to audience questions. COLLABORATION You should work together with your fellow panelists to ensure that the panel presentations are coherent and complementary. Your topics should relate to one another, but do not overlap. Finish each presentation with some questions for class discussion. Make sure everyone's questions are different! SLIDE DECK Please submit your slides to Dr. Bakker one day before the presentation, by 5 pm. Collate the slides of all of the presenters in order, with their names. Dr. Bakker will upload the slides to the website. On the day of the presentation, please bring a laptop that you can use to show the presentation HANDOUT Onepage single spaced handout per person. Please include references on a second page (typically 10 to 12 references). Simple yet high quality graphic design; check out the free designs on Canva.com. Submit your handout to Dr. Bakker one day before the presentation, by 5 pm. Collate the handouts of all of the presenters in order, with their names. Dr. Bakker will upload the handouts to the website. You can use notes or cuecards for this part.
