For example, embalming is when you take everything out of the dead corpse. Embalming first started between 1550-1070 B.C.E. and probably earlier. Embalming was needed for mummies because that was how they took out organs. Only skilled workers got to embalm. To embalm the workers cut a slit in the side of the dead corpse where all the organs are removed from. The vital organs were later treated with preservatives and placed in special jars. After they removed the organs, they put natron in the corpse to keep it from drying out and decaying any time soon. All in all, due to the development and need of embalming during ancient times, it is considered an Egyptian legacy.
