The ancient Egyptians

Afterlife was very important

for Egyptians.

A lot of their lifetime activities

were linked to afterlife!

AFTERLIFE

They believed in the land of two fields.

Osiris let the soul into the after world.

But the heart of the dead had to be

light enough to go on Ra’s board.

For a soul’s heart to be light, they had

to do good deeds in their life.

To ovoid trickery Ma ’at weighed the

heart.

They believed that the soul split into two. One half would enjoy afterlife and the other half would go and watch over their family.

EGYPTIAN GODS

Egyptian worshiped over

2000 gods.

Isis was the wife of Osiris. And

the mother of Horus. All

Pharaohs were considered to be a

living form of Horus.

She wore a headdress of throne,

horns of a cow and had a sun disc.

She helped people in need with

her magical powers.

ISIS

Ra had a hawk head and

wore the headdress of sun

disc on his head.

He was the most important

ancient Egyptian god.

Egyptian believed that Ra

was swallowed every night

by the sky Goddess Nut and

was reborn every morning.
