What is Street Art?

Street art is a type of visual art, created in a public space. Street art gained popularity in the 1980s, stencil graffiti, paste ups or sticker art and street sculptures are the most common forms of street art.

This street art looks so realistic. I wonder if someone thought it was real.

When I first looked at this picture I thought it was a real laptop but then I had to look closer to see it was street art.

Street Art and Graffiti

Street art is legal which means you have permission to do the art, graffiti tagging is illegal.

When people get caught tagging they could go to jail.

Street art is about the audience and presented in a way that people will admire it.
