Thank-you to all parents who have already and will be having informal parent-teacher conversations. These are very productive discussions about your child/children and strengthen the home-school partnership that is essential in growing great students.

Last week I reminded students to 'play their part' by upholding the school values at school and in the community as it come to my attention that:

• Bus behaviour, particularly the use of inappro-priate language, has been less than satisfactory by some students

• Student attitude towards volunteer canteen mums has been a little disrespectful in relation to the choices available under the banner of the Healthy Schools Canteen, and

• Student behaviour, in BPS school uniform, in the community has been very disappointing and on view to the general public

Representative Sport

Good luck today to Michael, Rosie, Jack, Zoe, Tom, Jordan, Lachlan and Flynn who are swimming at the Zone Swimming Carnival in Albury. Thank you to the parents who have transported students to and from these events.

The JeriBerriO Cricket team will play Tocumwal Public School on Thursday in Tocumwal.

Forensic Day

Year 6 are travelling to Finley on Friday to partici-pate in the annual Forensic Day. For a number of years Finley High School has run a Forensics Day. The day involves Year Six students from our feeder Schools coming to the high school to participate in several forensic science workshops. The day begins with the students participating in an interactive forensic science workshop. The students then break up into mixed groups to complete two forensic science experiments.

Moving into Year 7

This week going home with the Year 6 students is an ‘Expression of Interest’ form for placement in Year 7, 2021. Principals are required to arrange for each Year 6 students designated local secondary school, which is Finley High School. Could you please complete the ‘Expression of Inter-est’ form and return to BPS school office no later than Monday 13th March 2020.

Voluntary Contributions

These are not mandatory but very welcome should you wish to contribute to the running of the school, the cost extra curricula activities and classroom requirements. See Simone if you wish to do this - $30 a child/$50 a family.

Many thanks to those families who have already paid this voluntary contribution.

Eggs –cellent!!

The school chickens now have names; Stripey, Lola and Shelly. Eggs are available for sale—$5/dozen

Federal Hotel Friday Night Raffle

Notes will be sent out next week asking for volunteers for the Friday night pub raffle. This is a great fundraiser for our school. Any volunteers would be greatly appreciated.
