President Lalaine Policar called the meeting to order Wednesday, 4/10 at 7:20pm.

MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: Brenda made a motion to accept the March minutes, Kathy G. 2nd, mo-

tion passed.

TREASURER’S REPORT: (Kathy Hairston): Balance is $24,574.21 as of 4/9/2019.

CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED BY SECRETARY: Scott received an email, dated 3/26, from Nancy Newcomb regarding

the 100 Year Anniversary Plaque from BCA. She noted she is working on it to make it really nice but did not have a production date. She sug-gested to award it at the 2019 National Banquet.

Discussion w/ the club members present to either award at the PCBC Christmas Dinner party.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

AKC Delegate (Link Newcomb) Link reported litter registrations are up overall, 5% for Litters & 4% for

Bulldogs.

AKC Education (Kathy Gray) No report.

COMMITTEE REPORTS (cont):

BCA Representative (Lesley Dehaas) Lesley reported the Division will hold a Nominating Committee meeting

during the PCBC Specialty weekend, Saturday evening 1hr after the 2nd show, at the Hilton Garden Inn (host hotel).

Bullpup (Scott Johnson) Scott is still looking for a replacement for the Editor position.

Futurity & Breeder’s Match (Sherian Evans) Sherian reported only 2 applications have been received. Richard and

Kay to submit theirs.

Challenge Trophy (Lesley DeHaas) Lesley sent out the qualifiers to the volunteers to provide.

Champion Awards (Scott Johnson) Nothing to new report. Will send out another reminder to the member-

ship the deadline to submit will be November 1st.

Fun Match (Brenda Newcomb) Recap as reported last month) A great turnout, fun and beautiful day had by all attending. The Sanction ‘B’ Match Best in Match went to Surf City’s Babbys Light

Between Oceans, Owned by Richard Troung, Kimberly Stephens and Julie Babcock. Best Opposite was Magnus Bull’s El Sheriff, Owned by Cristian & Maxmie Peirano, Luis Armando Mata.

Thank you Judge Jose Navarro. The Fun Match Best in Match went to Graybull Showbiz It’s 5 O'clock

Somewhere, Handled by Mia Cardin, Owned by Joan Fisher, Bill & Kay Gray and Aimee Cardin. Best Opposite was Magnus Bull’s El Sheriff, Owned by Cristian & Maxmie Peirano, Luis Armando Mata.

Thank you Judge Willie Quesada. The Chili Cook-Off Winner this year went to Bridgette Garduno. Not sure

she had any leftover to take home, was delicious! ***NEW - Looking forward to another great turnout next as was this

year.

Membership (Scott Johnson) Membership were read and here are the totals: 125 total members 32 Lifetime, 14 Juniors, 7 New, 72 Active Members. We are still waiting for 38 members to renew. Scott noted the passing of Sue Calhoun, a Life Long member and men-

tor to all. Rescue Committee (Debra Munt) Nothing to report.

Social Media/Website (Sherry Webb) Nothing to report.

BRAGS NETTED: ???

2019 Specialty (Dennis & Lalaine) All were asked to bring paper towels and water/ice. Scott will bring a large cooler with ice. Kathy Gray will furnish Potato, Pasta & Coleslaw salads and Cream

Corn as sides for the Club hosted BBQ lunch Saturday. Bill will be BBQ Tri-Tip. Kathy will also serve Pastries, Bagels, Fruit and Yogurt for the break-

fasts each day. Coffee, Juices and other libations will be included.

OLD/UNFINISHED BUSINESS As noted earlier in Secretary’s Correspondence, the 100 year plaque

from BCA will be awarded at this year’s PCBC Christmas Dinner Party.

NEW BUSINESS No new business items were brought forward. MEETING ADJOURNED: Motion by Cyndee to adjourn, seconded by Kathy H, Meeting adjourned

at 8:15pm. Motion passed.

Championship Award Rules

1. The recipient of the Champion Plaque must receive at least ten (10 points, including one (1) major in the following locations: San Luis Obispo County, Fresno County, Kern County, Tulare County, Kings County, all Southern California Counties, all shows put on by a Bulldog Specialty Club held in Division III, and the National Bull-dog Specialty no matter where held.

2. All legal owners and co-owners of the dog MUST be members of Pacific Coast Bulldog Club, Inc. in good standing at the time the required ten (10) points, including one (1) major are earned.

3. Those who apply for a plaque and do not meet the requirements will receive a Championship Certificate. All members who finish a Champion in the United States, regardless of locality, are entitled to a Championship Certificate and may apply for only the certificate by checking the appropriate box.

4. The Championship Award Application can be obtained from the Championship Award Chairperson or the Bullpup Editor.

5. The completed application must be submitted with a copy of the AKC Championship Certificate, the AKC Registration Certificate, and a 8x10 colored show photo or a good quality colored photo copy of the new champion no later than December 31st of the year prior to the Specialty Show to the Championship Award Chairperson. The photo will be retained as part of the permanent records of the Pacific Coast Bulldog Club, Inc.

6. The first plaque per recipient is free. Additional plaques maybe pur-chased at the time of application for $50 (fifty dollars). Check box at the bottom of the application form and enclose a check made out to P.C.B.C. with application and mail to the Championship Award Chairperson at the address below.
