From the Editor's DeskChildren develop as they grow and learn new complex
skills. Development is holistic only when the child gets
the same in all aspects like physical, intellectual,
emotional and social aspects. We, at DLF Foundation,
believe that every child has a potential that needs to
be tapped.
As part of its ‘Skill a Million’ Programme, DLF
Foundation has launched its 26th centre - the DLF DB
Tech Skill Centre in Dhanauran, Mullanpur. This centre
will offer short-term courses in IT enabled-services,
Sales & Retail and will facilitate their employment with
national service brands.
Our Village Cluster Development programme is also
providing quality based, affordable and accessible
Primary Health Care Services to the rural community.
The fact that almost 2000 patients availed these
facilities is the last two months alone, shows that it is
well received by the rural community.
As a disaster response initiative, DLF Group has risen
to the need of the hour by contributing whole-
heartedly towards the Relief and Rehabilitation work
for the Uttarakhand flood victims.
We will continue to update you on all these CSR
activities we undertake and would look forward to
your suggestions on the same.
Happy reading!

DISASTER RESPONSE INITIATIVE
ttarakhand today stands totally devastated by floods of
an unprecedented kind in the recent history of the
nation. The havoc created with possibly thousands of Upeople losing their lives, will take a long time to heal.
Amidst this national tragedy, the DLF Group has risen to the need
of the hour by contributing towards the Relief and Rehabilitation
work. It is heartwarming to note that all our DLF employees have
voluntarily contributed their one day's Basic salary towards the
relief effort
alongwith a matching grant from the organization which has been
donated to the PM Relief Fund.
We did not stop at this alone and decided to directly intervene in
the affected areas by dispatching medical teams to the region.
DLF Foundation along with the Food Bank and CRDN also sent
many truckloads of food, medicines and relief material to the
flood hit areas. Some of our employees volunteered to help in the
relief work
and joined
the Re l ief
efforts there. A team under the leadership of Mr. Dhiraj Singha
coordinated the distribution of food and relief material and
supervised the Medical camps established by DLF Foundation in
some of the worst hit areas in Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag
sectors. A large number of victims covering 16 villages were
treated and provided free medicines. The Foundation will
continue to consistently support the relief and rehabilitation
work in the region.
