Buddi and Clip must remain within 40 meters at all times to ensure connectivity.

(We recommend no more than 20 meters when indoors.)

Telecare24 monitoring centre is based in the UK and can be contacted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via buddi. Our customer services team are available Monday - Friday on 0800 180 8220.

All alerts will be directed via our 24/7 monitoring service who will in turn endeavor to notify your chosen list of emergency contacts. It is our emergency support staff at our monitoring centre who will speak to the wearer via the 2-way communication of the buddi Clip if a fall is detected or panic buttons are pressed.

1.3 THE BUDDI WRISTBAND

The wristband is designed to be worn at all times. It senses motion and communicates wirelessly with the buddi Clip.

In the case of a fall, or if the alert buttons are pressed, the wristband raises an alert. This alert is communicated to the wearer's loved ones through the buddi Clip via our 24/7 monitoring centre.

The wristband weighs approximately 40g.

Making an Emergency Call

• The buddi Wristband uses an accelerometer to automatically detect when the wearer has a fall, this is then communicated to the buddi Clip.

• There are also panic buttons that the wearer can press for help at any time.

The buddi Wristband is designed to be worn at all times. In bed, the bathroom and outdoors.

The buddi is a life saving device; remember to advise the user to wear it at all times and keep it by their bed at night.

1.4 THE BUDDI CLIP

The buddi Clip uses GPS technology to locate the wearer and has buttons which raise an alert to our 24/7 monitoring centre when pressed simultaneously for a few seconds.

It contains a speaker and a microphone enabling two-way communication to our 24/7 monitoring centre for both the panic button and fall alerts when they are activated.

The buddi Clip must be worn or carried when outside and kept within 40 meters from the wristband.

Using the keyring attachment from the buddi accessory pack may provide handy reminders to take the buddi Clip when leaving the house.

The buddi clip weighs 48g and measures 59mm x 48mm x 21mm.

1.5 BATTERY LIFE AND CHARGING THE BUDDI CLIP

The buddi Clip battery will typically last for up to two days. The battery life of the buddi Clip is dependent on use, for example if it is taken out and about for the prolonged periods of time, or alerts are raised frequently, this will result in the battery discharging more quickly.

To help maximise the battery life of the buddi Clip, we recommend that it is placed on charge for two hours a day or whenever the wearer is at home. The charging time for the buddi Clip is approximately four hours.

1.6 BATTERY LIFE AND CHARGING THE BUDDI WRISTBAND

When communicating with the buddi Clip, it will last 1-2 weeks, depending on individual use.

The device takes 2 hours to charge. A USB charger is provided which is designed to enable the user to charge the wristband whilst it's being worn, should the user not want to remove the wristband at all.

1.7 Buddi Set Up

Once your buddi Wristband arrives, place it on charge using the charger provided. The LED will then glow green.

The buddi Clip should also be placed on charge using the charger provided. The LED will then glow green.

You can test that it's working by pressing both panic buttons once and waiting to ensure it dials through to our emergency support staff.

You'll be connected via our 24/7 monitoring service to our emergency support staff who will speak to the wearer via the 2-way communication of the buddi Clip if a fall is detected or panic buttons are pressed. Simply advise them that you are making a test call and the team will acknowledge and close the activation for you.
