Students Reach their Campus for ChristThe 13-14 college year is off to a great start. BSM students and staff have been busy presenting every student an opportunity to respond to Jesus. Even before school officially started the BSM was already on campus seeking to have an impact for God’s kingdom. Here is a report of what God is doing…

International Welcome

The week before school started students from countries like China, India, Kenya, Mexico, Korea, and more, started arriving to the UTPA campus. The BSM picked up a few of these students at the airport and helped them get ready for school. Students were invited to join the BSM International

Connection every Friday and practice English and connect with other UTPA students. The goal during this time is to build connections that might lead to sharing the Gospel with them.

BSM Hosts Shane and Shane

The BSM hosted renown duet Shane & Shane as part of the Back to School push to encourage students to study the Bible and worship

God as college students. We had over 300 people attend this event. We have been able to see students that came to the event already attending Bible studies and serving during BSM outreach.

Free Paletas for Everyone!

The BSM hosted a Free Paletas outreach event as part of our back to school efforts to meet students. It was a success! We met over 500 students during this event and were able to establish meaningful connections with students, invite them to Bible study, and connect them with service opportunities.

Through this event and many others this month of September we have been able to impact over 5,000 students!

Freshmen Student Welcome!

The BSM hosted a Free Lunch for freshmen students and their

families. During this time we were able to connect with a good group of freshmen students and connect them with the Freshmen Ministry at BSM.

The BSM Freshmen is a program to help freshmen develop a commitment to be faithful in their walk with God during their college years and beyond. Freshmen are paired up with a mentor have their own Bible study, and are mobilized to have an evangelistic outreach once a week on campus. So far, we have 12 Freshmen students paired up with mentors, and we met all these through the Freshmen welcome!

Campus Outreach, an expression of faith of BSM students.There is one question every person that comes to

the BSM must be able to answer: What is your campus outreach? Students are encouraged from the beginning to join a team of students just like them to be the presence of Christ on campus.

We have 15 campus outreach opportunities on a 5 day week at UTPA. This means that every day BSM students are believing God to use their lives to share Christ with

others. We have had many wonderful encounters with students that have come to know Jesus because of

this.Josiah is a freshman student, he was wondering how life was going to be as a college student, we met him during outreach and invited him to serve with us.

He is now leading a campus outreach along 10 freshmen students on Friday. This is just 3

weeks since school started!

Campus OutreachEvery Monday at 4 PM, BSM girls go over to campus and offer Free Nail painting to other UTPA girls. During this time they talk to them, pray with them, and share the hope of Christ. The other day, they had 3 girls accept Christ in one day!

Wednesdays from 10-12. Students give PB&J sandwiches an invite students to Bible study.

Tuesdays from 2-4. A team of 5 students goes to campus to share the Gospel with their peers.

Wednesdays 7-9 AM. Students offer a daily devotional to students and prayer as they walk to class.

Mondays 4-6 PM. Students go to campus and paint Bible stories using hena.

WHEN YOU THINK OF OUR BSM KEEP THIS IN MIND..All we do at the BSM is with one goal in mind: to share Christ with students and to mobilize them to spend the rest of their lives serving God.

Many students do just that, they become God’s missionaries in their workplace and some even become missionaries in other counties. These are our missionaries currently serving God in other

places after college. They are a few of the many examples of what we are all about at the BSM: “From the harvest to the harvest.” Glory to God.Please pray for them.
