Week of May 21, 2012The Williams School works with each child to build an enduring foundation

for academic, moral, and social success. Williams School students embodyintegrity, confidence, discipline, and a love of learning.

Dear Williams School Families,Congratulations are in order

for our advanced TWS band students for their performance at last weeksband competition at Busch Gardens.Karen Jackson remarked that our 5th-8th grade students displayed excellence in their performance, stage

presence and behavior. Out of 5bands in our division, (all publicschool programs from VA and MD) we

placed 2nd with a rating of Excellent. We were also competingagainst schools that mostly bring 7th

and 8th grade students and more than likely rehearse daily. For our small school to compete in this kind of arena and be successful says a lot about our students and their parents. Bravo!

Calling all golfers! Please come and join in the fun at the Canoles Classic this coming Thursday. Matt Stenberg (06) stopped by the office today to sign -up. He was on a quest to find other alums that were up to thechallenge. As an entertaining improvisation, our golfers will have a shot gun start courtesy of this yearskindergarten class. Please join us for some fun and fellowship for what is sure to be a memorable day. Wehave a collection of parents, alums, friends, faculty and staff who have already signed up for the day.

See you on the green! Melanie
