    In addition to the slender design, thesehigh-quality units convince with theirhigh efficiency. The exact trimmingof the impeller diameter allows thedesired flow capacity to be exactlydefined and, with this, cost-saving andenergy-efficient solutions for nearlyany application are possible. Suctioning via a suctionstrainer and an integrated intake guide with an anti-vortex plate allows a verylow drawdown of the water level of just a few centimeters.

    CoatingsThe unique Ceram coating from Wilocan be used for borehole pumps on theinner and outer surfaces of pumps andpump components which are exposed to aggressive fluids. This solvent-free2-component coating in the Ceram C0and C1 versions can be used for hy-draulics larger than 8" and can be ap-plied later on all pump components which are in stock.Thanks to the high wet adhesion of15N/mm2, high abrasive strength isguaranteed.

    NEW Ceram CTThis coating with KTW approval (KTW =official German recommendationconcerning the levels of polymers inpotable water) was specially designedfor borehole technology to additionallyincrease the efficiency. With a thicknessof about 200 micrometers, Ceram CT isonly applied to the impeller blades andinner contour, as well as inside thestage housing.

    Wilo norm pumpsThe norm pump series is suitable forclean to slightly contaminated water in circulation, transfer andpressure-boosting applications. Here, the low-pressure centrifugal pumpsachieve delivery heads of up to 150 mand volume flows of up to 3000 m3 /h.Generously dimensioned roller bear-ings as well as high-quality sealingsystems, such as the Burgmannmechanical seal with tapered gasketchamber, guarantee a high degree ofoperating reliability. To reduce main- tenance-related downtimes, all pumpscan be equipped with a spacer cou-pling. With this, there is direct access to the hydraulics without having todismantle the pipe or the drive.The standardisation of the main com-ponents guarantees better exchange-ability.     Wilo split case pumpsFor maximum capacity. The main char-acteristic of these single- or dual-stagelow-pressure centrifugal pumps withaxially divided housings are low NPSH values. Thanks to the double suctioning, the impeller is hydraulically balanced,so that the axial thrust is minimisedand the pump reliability is considerablyincreased. All standard pumps are gen-erally equipped with impellers and sta- tionary wear rings made of bronze.

    To make maintenance easier, the upperhousing part can be very easily dis-mantled. This way, one gets directaccess to all rotating parts withouthaving to dismantle the pressure orsuction lines or the drive. To position the components during assembly,all standard pumps come standard-equipped with stationary wear rings.The minimised shaft distortion due to intermediate bearings means fewer vibrations and, to avoid premature wear in the mechanical seal, all pumpscome equipped with a rinsing device.Wear-resistant 4- and 6-pole motors, the shaft sealing with mechanical sealor stuffing box packing, as well as high-quality materials, guarantee maximumoperating reliability. They can beinstalled vertically, and even horizon- tally up to a certain number of stages.In the case of vertical installation, thepump system is to be accommodatedon as small an area as possible. In thecase of a horizontal installation posi- tion, the entire pipe installation liesin one plane, because Wilo pressureshroud pumps are flange-mounteddirectly in the mains supply line orare connected to a bypass pipe. A significant advantage of the Helix high-pressure multistagecentrifugal pump is the X-seal car- tridge system: It is easy to access, thus ensuring an extreme reductionin the time required for maintenance work.     Sprinkling and irrigationWith the Wilo-Sub TWI series, Wilooffers high-performance pumps forcommercial and municipal water sup-plies. These high-quality pumps madeof stainless steel are especially suitablefor applications involving pumping water out of boreholes or rainwaterstorage for the purpose of sprinklingand irrigation. The entire Wilo-Subrange is convincing with its easy in-stallation, maintenance and operation.

    Rainwater utilisation.The sensible utilisation of rainwater with specially designed systems isinexpensive and is good for the envi-ronment. A rainwater utilisation sys- tem combines modern technology with ecological awareness. Thanks tointelligent systems, rainwater is beingutilised reliably and with no hygienicconcerns for sprinkling/irrigation, sub-ordinate cleaning purposes and otherapplications in the non-potable waterarea. After all: Rainwater is excellentlysuited for irrigation and cleaning, sinceit is especially lime-free and is there-fore better for absorbing mineral saltsand active detergents.

    The Wilo-RainSystem AF 400 is aready-to-connect rainwater utilisationsystem with a double pump, includinga booster pump. A feeding pump from the Wilo portfolio is for supplying rain- water fully automatically from rainwa- ter storage or tanks. The system hasa large hybrid tank with a 400-litercapacity. When there is little rainfall, this is supplied by means of automatic,needs-based replenishment withpotable water from the mains system.This way, there is always a sufficient water supply. The fully electronic con- trol unit controls the operation of theentire system and ensures maximumoperating reliability. The system sepa-ration guarantees the complete sepa-ration of the rainwater installationfrom the potable water supply inaccordance with EN 1717.

    For a much higher demand, such as fire water, sprinkling, process water provi-sion or for rainwater retention, smallpressure boosting systems in combi-nation with Wilo system accessories(like an atmospherically vented tank)are still suitable. Using with multistagehigh-pressure centrifugal pumps guar-antee maximum operating reliability with up to 6 individual pumps, as wellas high efficiency, and offers two ad- justable pressure levels for various ap-plications.

    Pumps for sprinkler systemsSprinkler systems are automatic fireextinguishing systems which are usedfor preventive fire protection in specialbuildings, such as high-rises, assemblyhalls, underground garages, etc. Wilooffers an extensive product range forsprinkler pumps. These boreholepumps with VdS approval are used topump fire water in sprinkler systems.They are usually installed horizontallyin supply basins. Vertical use in wells orsumps, as well as dry well installation(with pressure shroud) are also possi-ble.

    Wilo-EMU D 500The VdS-certified borehole pump,Wilo-EMU D 500, with CoolAct motor technology was developed to expand the portfolio in the area of sprinklerpumps with regard to high volumeflows and large heads. Large sprinklersystems, which up till now had to beequipped with several units, can nowbe operated with just one pump. Sinceno external cooling jacket is necessary, the pump can be installed taking upeven less space.

    Fire protection and fire extinguishing technologyFire protection and fire extinguishingsystems are only used in the event ofa fire. Systems can be individually as-sembled with high-quality Wilo com-ponents. For example, with a fullyautomatic water-supply unit in a heavy-duty system made up of a high-pres-sure multistage centrifugal pump andstandardised motors. When planning,constructing and commissioning fireextinguishing systems for connection to a potable water installation, it mustbe made sure that the systems areseparated by a s o-called atmospheri-cally vented tank.
