Sally Potter FilmsSome of her most famous pieces are The tango lesson 1996 which typically demonstrates this. Through the medium of dancing she could use a medium that shows beautiful visuals but more important could link music to visuals and create a non verbal piece. Other famous pieces are Orlando 1992, Thriller 1979, gold digger (1983), the London story(1986), the man who cried (2000). Some famous actors included in her work are Jonny deep, Tilda Swinton, Cristina Ricci, Cate blanchett, John turturro. The style of her work is very beautiful using beautiful Mise en scene & actors.

Who is Peter Greenaway?

Born –5th April 1942 Director, Screen play,

producer and editor.

Peter Greenaway

Peter Greenaway work has a more darker and zanier style, using very dark visuals. He was a believer of the subversive power of the image, he was obsessed with the form of nature and but also questioned the historical role of art in culture. He was known as the philosopher of cinema from when his work addressed the changingstatus of the image in the contemporary world. His work focuses on different styles such as painting, literature, calligraphy, theatre, architecture, and music. The Draughtsman's Contract (1982), was his first main stream film.

His main work was made through the 70’s 80’s and 90’s, which made his work set in a modern day style. His form of his work was Avant-Garde art cinema. He was a modernist and a Renaissance artist His style of his work was very outspoken, of which this challenge forms of which his visuals represented. Within his work he faced issues such as modern day politics and homosexuality.
