You will see from some of the photos later in the Bulletin that one member of our staff is very excited! Well done to our Year 6 children who have completed their SATS this week. I know that they have all worked extremely hard throughout this year and this was the final milestone for them. We are very proud of the hard work and effort this year with all of the exams and tests that you have done. You now have so much to look forward to for the rest of year six and had a wonderful time sailing and kayaking again this afternoon. Year 5 are looking forward to their Osmington Bay trip next week and am sure we are all looking forward to hearing your wonderful stories on the Blog. Parents don’t forget to look on our Breaside website – www.breaside.co.uk/parents/blog/ and you can also follow them on the private Breaside Twitter page. I know that the children and teachers are all very excited, fingers crossed the weather stays fine for them. This is a fantastic opportunity for the children to work together and do some amazing team building activities and also gives them the opportunity to achieve so very much on a personal level. For those of you who will be glued to the television for the Royal Wedding, I’m sure you will join with us all at Breaside in wishing Harry and Meghan all the very best for the future, and for those who will be watching the FA cup final, may the best team win! Year 4 BushcraftLast Friday, Year 4 were very excited to be leaving for our adventure at Bushcraft. We set off at9:00am and were greeted at 10:00am by the fantastic staff. During our stay the children learnt manythings, including: how to make a fire, how to build shelters, how to camouflage themselves, andmany other important life skills. They were all fantastically behaved and even though there weresome very tired children by the end of day two, throughout our stay they all took part in all theactivities with enthusiasm and enjoyment and represented the school amazingly! Well done Year 4,for doing so well and learning survival skills. I am pleased you all enjoyed yourselves so much.
