When the Trail of Tears started in 1838, the mothers of the Cherokee were griev-ing and crying so much, they were unable to help their children survive the jour-ney. The elders prayed for a sign that would lift the mother’s spirits to give them strength. The next day a beautiful rose began to grow where each of the mother’s tears fell. The rose is white for their tears; a gold center represents the gold taken from Cherokee lands, and seven leaves on each stem for the seven Cherokee clans. The wild Cherokee Rose grows along the route of the Trail of Tears into eastern Oklahoma today. This knife is hand made in Tennessee and has a bone handle with a 1080 High Carbon Steel blade.

CUTTING TOOLS

This product is warranted to the original consumer purchaser, for as

long as he or she owns this product. Coverage ends if you transfer or

sell the product to someone else or if the product is modified in any

way. The warranty covers defects in materials, manufacture or

assembly. If one of our products ever breaks or fails due to material or

manufacturing defect we will repair or replace the product.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage caused by abuse,

misuse, improper handling, loss, accident, alterations, neglect, disas-

sembly or improper sharpening. Cosmetic damage which occurs over

time and use, such as scratches on a products finish or coatings on a

product rubbing or wearing off are normal and are not covered by the

warranty. Our products rarely fail because of a defect and in most cas-

es the failure or breakage is due to “tool abuse”. “Tool abuse”, is when

the product is used for unsuitable non intended purposes. Examples

would be using a knife for any other purpose than cutting (pounding,

prying, using as a screwdriver, throwing the knife etc). Multi-purpose

tools are not intended to replace full-sized tools and are for use only

on light or moderately heavy-duty applications. Collapsible batons are

not pry bars etc. Always use the proper tools for the proper intended

purposes. Locking systems such as liner locks, safeties, frame locks

and lock back mechanisms are added features designed to help keep

the blade in the open position when fully extended. These systems

are not designed to take pressure or blows to the backside (dull) side

of the blade and failure of these systems can happen when not used

properly. When a cutting tool/knife is used properly the cutting pres-

sure exerted on the knife blade will always be against the cutting edge

of the blade pushing and keeping the knife blade open, when used

properly it is impossible for the knife to close when cutting. Misuse

of your product can cause serious injury or even death. Misuse often

will result in your product failing and breaking in which cases the

Taylor Brands warranty will not apply. Failure to properly maintain

your product may cause it’s mechanisms to not function properly and

could also result in injury to you and/or damage to your product.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

Please take your item(s) to your local dealer where the product was

purchased, ask that they contact Taylor Brands LLC with regard to

your defective item and Taylor Brands LLC will include replace-

ment parts or a replacement item on their next shipment of goods

to our authorized distributor in your area. If you are unable to find

a dealer or distributor in your area we ask that you send your item

in for repair/replacement to our facilities following the normal war-

ranty procedure with the exception that the cost of shipping may be

adjusted upon receipt of the item in order to cover return shipping to

your out of country location.

THE TAYLOR BRANDS LLC LIGHT WARRANTY

There is a 90-day limited warranty on any LED flashlight produced by

Taylor Brands LLC which covers defects in materials, manufacture or

assembly. The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage caused

by abuse, misuse, improper handling, loss, accident, alterations,

neglect or disassembly. Proof of purchase may be required. Always

make sure the flashlight is turned off when not in use. Accidentally

leaving the flashlight on may result in reduced battery life as well

as power conductivity. Leaving the flashlight on for extended periods

of time may also cause the light to overheat and could possibly result

in injury. Warning/Caution: Cree LED bulbs project very strong

powerful beams of light. Never shine directly, gaze or stare into the

flashlight beam to ensure maximum eye protection. Batteries should

never be exposed to extreme conditions including fire. Under normal

conditions thermal energy will be generated from the use of the flash-

light. Never place or use the flashlight around flammable objects/

gases/liquids/etc. Beams and seals on the flashlight should remain

unblocked. For the longest possible battery life please remove and

store batteries from the flashlight when not in use. Warning/Caution:

In photosensitive epileptic people the strobe function may trigger

seizures. Any flashlights falling under this limited warranty must be

returned for evaluation.

THE TAYLOR BRANDS ACCESSORY WARRANTY

Taylor Brands LLC has a one (1) limited warranty which covers

defects in materials, manufacture or assembly. The warranty does

not cover normal wear, damage caused by abuse, misuse, improper

handling, loss, accident, alterations, neglect or disassembly on any

accessories including but not limited to sheaths, sharpeners, tactical

pens and carry and deployment systems. Proof of purchase may be

required. Any accessories falling under this limited warranty must be

returned for evaluation.

THE TAYLOR BRANDS COLLAPSIBLE BATON WARRANTY

All Taylor Brands LLC expandable batons are warranted to the origi-

nal consumer purchaser, for as long as he or she owns this product.

if the product is modified in any way. This warranty covers defects in

materials, manufacture or assembly and includes a repair or replace-

has been discontinued at Taylor Brands discretion we will replace

the item with one of equal value or return the original piece back to

the sender.

If you are having a problem with a Taylor Brands LLC product or

accessory which you believe is the result of a defect in workmanship

or materials per the above warranty statement, here is how to return

the item to us:

protection

how it occurred

Once received we will determine if there is a defect in the materials,

manufacture or assembly of the product. If there is a defect we will repair

or replace the product with the same model or one of equal value. Please

keep in mind repair is not always practical or possible, if your product has

sentimental

value we recommend not shipping the item to us. If the problem with the

returned product is determined to be caused by something other than a

defect in the materials, manufacture or assembly, our repair department

will inform you whether the item can be repaired and if so what the cost

of such repair would be. Upon agreement and payment we will repair or

replace the item. If your product has been put to hard use for extended

periods of

time it is always possible that the useful life of the product has been

exceeded and we will not be able to repair or replace the item. In such

cases we recommend retiring the item and we will return it to you (all costs

associated with the return shipment of the product are the responsibility

of the customer).

RELEASE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDE-

MINITY AGREEMENT

By purchasing any item produced by Taylor Brands LLC the buyer assumes

responsibility to ascertain and follow all applicable international, federal,

state and local laws in owning, carrying, having, shipping, transporting

and using any Taylor Brands LLC product. The buyer expressly agrees to

indemnify and hold harmless Taylor Brands LLC for all claims resulting

directly or indirectly from the ownership, purchase, transportation or use

of the item in violation of applicable federal, state and local laws or regula-
