On the Applicant Console, click the Start New Application button under the Start New Application header. The Start Application Screen will display. The Student Pilot Certificate in IACRA

Submitting a Student Pilot Certificate
Login into IACRA and accept the Terms of Service as an Applicant.
On the Applicant Console, click the Start New Application button under the Start New
Application header. The Start Application Screen will display. (Figure 1)
In section 1) Application Type, select Pilot from the dropdown box.
In section 2) Certifications, select Student Pilot.
In section 3) Other Path Information, expand and it should read Student Pilot
In section 4) Start Application expand and the Start Application button displays. Click Start
Application. Next the Application Process screen will display. (Figure 2)

Application Process Screen.
In the first section, Personal Information, the information is drawn from the IACRA User Profile.
Click Save & Continue. This section collapses and the next section expands.
The second section, Certificate Held, requires that the option for English Language be
selected. Select Yes and then click Save & Continue. This section collapses and the next section
expands.

No information is needed in the Basis of Issuance section. Click Save & Continue. This section
collapses and the next section expands.
Pilot Time does not require additional information. Click Save & Continue. This section collapses
and the next section expands.

Review and Submit is the final section for the applicant.
Answer ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to the question “Have you previously received a Notice of Disapproval or
been denied for any reason for the certificate AND/OR rating for which you are applying?”
If the answer is ‘Yes’ then another question “How many times have you received a Notice of
Disapproval or been denied for this rating or certificate?” will appear. Enter the number of time
and click Save.
If ‘No’ then the yellow “Important Information for IACRA Applicants” box will appear.
Below that will appear the Student Summary.
Under the Student Summary will be three buttons: View Privacy Act, Review and Submit
Application.
The Review and Submit Application buttons will be inactive with gray lettering.
Click the View Privacy Act button.
A new window opens and displays an image of the AIRMAN CERTIFICATE AND/OR RATING
APPLICATION … wait for it … PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT. The Review button is now active. The
Privacy Act window can be closed or minimized to see the Review button.

Click the Review button.
A new window opens and displays an image of the IACRA Generated Copy of the application.
The Submit Application button is now active. As before the new window can be closed or
minimized in order to see the Submit Application button.
Click the Submit Application button. The application has been submitted. A notice box appears
with the Application ID and the applicant’s FTN. The application can now be referenced and/or
processed by the Recommending Instructor and/or Examiner based on the FTN.
