Are you ready to become an authorized partner with Robert Bosch Tool Corporation? If you’re ready the next steps are pretty simple:
• Contact your rep and let them know you’re interested in joining the partner program.
• Your Bosch representative will provide you a guideline to getting started.
• The partner team, with your sales rep will evaluate your account and make a decision on the appropriate partnership level(s) for your business.
• When a decision is reached your rep will bring you an offer letter that contains an overview of expectations and benefits for the partnership level(s) that we feel best fit your business.
• Upon offer acceptance you will be assigned a partner advocate to help you with all the final details.
• Once you meet all the requirements, and have placed partner badges according to guidelines, communicate completion to your rep.
• Upon final acceptance you’ll receive your certification and be activated in the program on the appropriate websites.

us to get the ball rolling. We welcome new partners into our
program. And for very little investment you receive some
great benefits.
Authorized partners are generally smaller companies with no or very limited
eCommerce capability that have a modest level of interaction with Robert Bosch
Tool Corporation. This level partner is currently able to easily adhere to the most
minimal program expectations.
At Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, our authorized partners are essential to the
success of our online partner program. Over time, we expect to help many of our
Authorized partners reach silver and gold level partnerships.
Our Authorized partners are included on the brands’ online partner webpage with a
link to their website and, if appropriate, the zip code search locator page. Additio-
nally, Authorized Partners receive access to marketing and sales collateral, online
product demos and reviews syndication.

Benefit: Partner BadgeThe Partner Badge increases sales conversion by clearly distinguishing a partner as

Corporation and, can be trusted in the transaction.
The partner badge should be placed in a prominent position on a partner webpage.
For silver and gold level partners, the partner badge should be placed on the brand
landing page.
Benefit: Link from Online Partner PageOnline partners receive placement on the Brand online partner page. They will get
exposure to a share of the more than 15K+ qualified leads that browse the brand
online partner pages every month.

to price their products fairly, according to
industry standards. Where a MAPP price has
been established on a product, partners are
expected to adhere to the policy.
By adhering to industry pricing you show
your respect for the other retailers and
distributors in the partner program, and belief
in the value of the Robert Bosch brands. Your
commitment to adhering to pricing integrity
will actively reduce the price erosion of our
family of brands in the marketplace, keeping
hard-earned margin in your pocket.

By participating in the partner program, our Authorized Partners are
obligated to adhere to a minimal set of expectations. These include:

• Brand and Trademark Integrity
• Web and POS Analytics (if available)
Expectation: Website SecurityIn order to present our products in the best possible way it’s expected that our online
partners maintain 99% website uptime, a secure server and eCommerce system, and a
prominently displayed security and privacy policy-at least as stringent as the policy on
the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation brand sites they represent.
Before being allowed into the partner program your website security will need to be
verified. If you have an eCommerce site that has a purchasing solution, we’ll require
proof of transaction security. Please be prepared to provide SSL certification or other
site security verification.

Expectation: Web and POS Analytics (If Available)Web and user traffic metrics, and analytics are essential elements in understanding when and
where your website traffic comes from, who’s buying your products and how to communicate
with them better. By providing this valuable information to Robert Bosch Tool Corporation
we’re able to find answers on how to better place our products and advertising in the market,
grow online visibility, and increase sales conversions.
By providing us with your Robert Bosch Tool Corporation brands’ POS information, we’re able
to see nationwide trends for power tool purchases and consumption, and better forecast our
fulfillment requirements – giving you less “out of stocks” and more efficient lead times to our
best selling products. POS data also helps us understand how we can help you in the sell-
through of Robert Bosch Tool Corporation brand products.
If you don’t currently have an analytics solution for your website we’re here to help. Our team
has specialists with the knowledge and experience to help point you in the right direction.
Although this expectation is optional for Authorized partners, your information remains
invaluable. Silver and Gold partners are required to provide a core set of metrics to
Robert Bosch Tool Corporation on a monthly basis.

consistently provide industry-leading solutions and services to their
customers. Silver partners are deeply committed to Robert Bosch
Tool Corporation. Their membership in our partner program is based
on a clear investment in demand-building exercises and fulfilling key
developmental expectations.
Our Silver partners are essential to the success of our online partner program. These are the
brand advocates in the field; our direct line communication with the consumer. Over time,
we expect to see many of our Silver partners expand their businesses into Gold level
partnerships.
Our Silver level partner receives all the benefits of an Authorized partner, plus the added
benefit of accruing co-op funds for online activity. Silver partners have the added benefit of
their website appearing in the results for our product pages’ Where to Buy program. Our Silver
partners also are given the opportunity to participate in one of our exclusive national online
promotions.
In addition to receiving all the benefits of an Authorized Partner,
our Silver Partners benefits include:

Benefit: Link from Where to Buy - Product PageQualifying online partners receive the added benefit of a direct link from Robert Bosch
brands’ product pages to the partner’s product page via the “where to buy” program.
Consumers visiting a brand site are given the option to buy a product online directly from our
product pages. They simply click on a button and up comes a number of retailers to choose
from. This sends actively qualified leads to the partner page resulting in significantly higher
conversion rates.
Industry surveys estimate that the conversion rate for a consumer coming from a manufacturer
site directly to product information on a retailer site increases as much as 13-40% from a consu-
mer just browsing a retail site.

Benefit: Co-Op allowed for online marketingPartners will now be allowed to utilize 100% of accrued co-op funds from a large selection
of approved online marketing, advertising and branding efforts. These opportunities are
outlined in the new 2012 Robert Bosch co-op Policy.
This is a clear benefit to online partners as it truly allows them to be reimbursed for their
marketing spend – driving traffic, to the online channel.
Benefit: Exclusive Online National Promotions In an effort to level the playing field between our partners we’re developing exclusive online
promotions - Silver Partners will have the opportunity to participate in one national online
promotion driven by co-marketing efforts with our brands. These promotions will be leveraged
by Bosch and it‘s partners to drive increased sales volume during the promotional periods.
For 2012, Bosch will center these promotions around Father’s Day (Q2) and holiday
season (Q4) as these seasons have historically out-performed other times of the year
for online promotions.
The exclusive online promotion will offer the best possible scenario to all our online
partners; an opportunity to benefit from exclusive promotional terms previously offered
only to select online distributors. Bosch brands are committed to providing great
promotions, visibility and digital marketing kits to support this initiative.

Our Silver Partners are required to meet all the expectations of an
Authorized Partner, our Silver Partners expectations include:

Expectation: Web and POS AnalyticsAs previously explained, analytics are critical to the success of a business. By distilling the
information from these reports, we’ll be able to guide, marketing and sales tactics and gain a
better insight into
our consumer.
At the Silver partner level, we require a monthly report of this data. We reserve the right
to also request reporting based on any marketing or advertising activities supported by
co-op reimbursement.

Expectation: Dedicated Brand Landing PageAs a Silver level partner you will be expected to develop, host, and maintain a dedicated landing
page for each Robert Bosch brand that you maintain a Silver or better partnership with.
This page should have the same user interface as the rest of your site with a few
notable exceptions:
• Prominently displayed brand logo
• Prominently displayed partner badge
• Brand story – marketing message
• Clean and clear arrangement of brand products on the page
• Link back to the brand page and customer service
• Suppression of any other brands from the page
This page gives the consumer the clear understanding that you are a partner who’s clearly
engaged in the brand and dedicated to the quality behind it.
Expectation: Sales (Sell-In) RequirementSilver level partners are expected to purchase a minimum of $-- (sell-in) in Robert Bosch
Tool Corporation products annually to qualify for this tier. Purchase requirement is an over-
arching figure and not a per-brand expectation.
This requirement further strengthens our relationship by signifying to us your dedication to
maintaining a solid partnership level with Robert Bosch Brands. The sell-in requirement is
based on 2011 purchase levels as reviewed by your sales representative in January of 2012.

Silver Partner Level Expectations
Expectation: In Stock SKU Requirement Silver partners are expected to stock best-selling products to qualify for silver status by brand.
In other words, when you carry the required SKUs of a specific brand, and meet all the other
requirements, you earn the partner status for that brand. You may be a Silver partner in Bosch
and Dremel, a Gold partner in SKIL, and an Authorized partner for RotoZip. In all cases, meeting
expectations strengthens your partnership.
In January of 2012 the Robert Bosch Tools Sales Organization will review sales for 2011.
From there, we will create a list of the best-selling online products and accessories by brand.
As a Silver Partner are expected to stock these products and accessories. To qualify, you will be
expected to commit stocking these items in 2012.
This is as much a benefit as an expectation. These are our best selling online products; products
online shoppers are consistently looking for. Now you have the benefit of a potential sale you
may not have had before, with stock that historically is a top sales performer.
Expectation: Co-Branded Marketing Communication As a Silver partner we know you are generally more advanced in communicating with your
customers. And let’s face it, the online community communicates via email.
Partners who are active as Silver level are expected to send a minimum of four Robert Bosch
Tools brand-centric dedicated emails to their end users over the course of the year. While this is an
expectation, we fully expect to see a benefit to you in an increase in sell-through of our products by
reminding your customers of the great products and offers available on you website and store. Our
brands are excited about this opportunity for success and are working now to develop tools to
create a turn-key creative solution for our best partners.

considerable market share, technology, or services leadership

a higher level of investment in RBTC.
We look to our Gold partners as the leaders and innovators in online sales which is
essential to the success of our online partner program. These brand evangelists
aggressively pursue sales in the online community. And play a key role in the ongoing
development of Robert Bosch Tool Corporation brands.
Our Gold level partner receives the highest tier of benefits and commitment from
Robert Bosch Tool Corporation of all our partners; all the benefits of Authorized and
Silver partners, plus the added benefits of custom branded online product demos,
and a customized partner landing page on our brand website. While they also have
the highest level of expectations, our Gold Partners also have the opportunity to
participate in each of our exclusive national online promotions.

Benefit: Custom Branded Product Demo SkinsAt Robert Bosch we are bringing the showroom online. We currently offer a nice
selection of virtual product demos for some of our best selling products in each brand.
These demos can be integrated into your website – linked from email and much more.
They give the online shopper the opportunity to get a deeper look at a product through
product videos, 360 views, multiple images and features/specs pages.
While all of our online partners get access to Robert Bosch Tools Branded demos, we are
covering the cost of our Gold Partners’ customization of the demo look and feel. This will
give your customer a seamless experience when they visit your eCommerce site, which
dramatically increases consumer confidence and ultimately increases conversions.

Benefit: Dedicated Partner PageIn 2012, Gold partners will get a customizable and dedicated partner landing page which
reinforces their RBTC relationship, increases partner visibility, and drives a lift in sell-
through. This partner page will be accessible from the online partner page of our brand
websites. Currently the online partner pages see over 15,000 unique visitors a month. A
dedicated partner page on our brand site reinforces our trust and solid relationship with you,
as well as creates additional traffic to your site, not only from our page but organically by
increasing the SEO for your site by adding an inbound link from an expert (us) in the industry.
Initially these pages will be statically maintained by our team of experts. In the future, they
will be directly editable by you from boschlink.com – your source for all information about
the partner program and other great Robert Bosch Tools information.
Benefit: All Exclusive Online National PromotionsIn an effort to level the playing field between our partners we are developing exclusive
online promotions. These promotions, centered around Father’s Day (Q2) and Holiday
Season (Q4) (historically top-performing times for online promotions) will be leveraged by
Bosch and it‘s partners to drive increased sales volume during the promotional periods.
Offering the same promotions to all our partners will give every partner the opportunity to
extend a great promotional offer to their consumer during typically competitive selling seasons.

In addition to all the expectations of a Silver partner, Gold partner will
maintain the following expectations.
• Sales (Sell-In Requirement)
• In Stock SKU Requirement
• Dedicated Co-Branded Marketing Communication
Expectation: Sales (Sell-In) RequirementGold level partners are expected to purchase a minimum of $500,000.00 (sell-in) in
Robert Bosch Tool Corporation products annually to qualify for this tier. Purchase
requirement is an over-arching figure and not a per-brand expectation.
This requirement secures our relationship by signifying to us your commitment to
maintaining a solid affiliation with Robert Bosch Brands. The sell-in requirement is
based on 2011 purchase levels as reviewed by your sales representative in January
of 2012.
Are You a Bosch System Specialist (BSS)?Bosch System Specialist Members in the partner program are expected to purchase a
minimum of $--- (sell-in) in Robert Bosch Tool Corporation products annually to
qualify for this tier. We reduced the sell-in requirement for our Bosch System
Specialists to reward them for their solid and long-standing relationship to Robert
Bosch Tool Corporation.

Expectation: In Stock SKU RequirementOur Gold partners are expected to stock a higher number of best-selling products than
Silver to qualify for Gold status by brand. Partnership levels are completely independent of
one another. In other words, when you carry the required SKUs of a specific brand, and
meet all the other requirements, you earn the partner status for that brand. Depending on
the requirements you meet, you may be a Gold partner in Bosch and Dremel, an Authorized
partner in SKIL, and a Silver partner for RotoZip. In all cases, meeting this expectation

In early January 2012, the Robert Bosch Tools Sales Organization will review sales for 2011.
We will create a list of the best-selling online products and accessories by brand. As a Gold
partner you will be expected to stock a minimum number of these products and accessories.
Your sales rep will communicate these to you in early January and you will be expected to
commit to this by January 31, 2012.
We believe that this is as much a benefit as an expectation. While we do expect you to carry
these products, the truth is that you are stocking our best selling online products, which
online shoppers are consistently looking for. Now you have the benefit of a potential sale you
may not have had before.

Partners who are active as Gold level are expected to send a minimum one Robert Bosch
Tools brand-centric dedicated email to their end users every month in 2012.
Although this is an expectation, we know that you will see a benefit to you; an increase in
sell-through of our products, by reminding your customers of the great products and offers
available on you website and store.

Participation and certification in the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation Channel Partner Program is at the sole discretion of Robert Bosch
Tool Corporation, 1800 W Central Road, Mount Prospect, IL 60056, (“RBTC”).
This document outlines the prospective requirements, expectations, benefits, and value to RBTC brand partners when they choose
to become a certified “Authorized” Online Partner by participating in the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation Channel Partner Program
(“Program”). The value and rewards to a partner in the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation Channel Partner Program are improved as a
partner increases their level of engagement with Robert Bosch Tool Corporation.
The outlined levels of requirements in this document are for representational purposes only. Specific terms and conditions governing
participation in the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation Channel Partner Program will be exclusively contained in a Channel Partner Program
contract; to be executed by RBTC and interested potential partners. For current partnership expectations and benefits please contact
your representative about obtaining a partner contract.
Partners unable to comply with the basic requirements will not be certified as Online Partners, and to that end will not be listed on the
Robert Bosch Tool Corporation brands respective websites as such.
