Transcript of Borunemouth Daily Echo newspaper

Like the website, the Bournemouth Daily Echo newspaper uses the same style and colour font for the newspaper name.

Signs for social media sites, Facebook and Twitter are found on the front page of the newspaper (in comparison to the Portsmouth News newspaper).

Unlike the website and the previous two newspapers, there is no certain masthead outlined with the Bournemouth Daily Echo newspaper. In comparison to the Daily Echo website, the lack of structure in terms of layout is evident.

The newspaper front page consists of one single portrait image, taken from article/s (all in relation to each other), that takes up most of the front page. And an advertisement that is laid out in a landscape style (this layout also applies for Portsmouth News newspaper).

The price of the newspaper is shown (this applies with the Portsmouth News newspaper), whereas the price is not shown on the Daily Echo website. An image advertising the

Bournemouth Air Festival features with this issue of the Bournemouth Daily Echo.

Articles are advertisements are spread out across the two pages of the newspaper. This form of layout seems to have applied for all of three newspapers that I have been analysing.

Images that have been used for the shown articles are laid out mainly in a landscape style

Advertisements for social media sites feature along the top of the two pages.

A contents section for the newspaper features at the bottom of the page.

Contact details for each of the different newspaper departments are also shown (contact details for the different departments can also be found on the Bournemouth Daily Echo website).
