The Francis Loh Award for Good Progress was initiated by Mr Francis Loh, the
Chairman of the School Advisory Committee (SAC) in 2008. This award
recognizes students from financially challenged backgrounds, who strive to
improve in their pursuit of excellence in their studies. The award also embodies
virtues such as strength of character, diligence, commitment and perseverance
in whatever they do. ______________________________________________________

The Dolly Seow Award was initiated and sponsored by a group of former BLGians
from the class of ’88, led by Mr Ong Wee Min, member of our School Advisory
Committee (SAC) in early 2008. This award is named after a former teacher Ms
Dolly Seow, who taught in the school during the 1980s. Her care and
commitment has touched the hearts of her former students. The award
recognizes students who strive to better themselves in the pursuit of excellence
in their studies. This award inspires students to continually strive for
improvements and remind them of the importance of showing gratitude to their
