Welcome to all of you in Yogyakarta, the loveliest city in State. It is such an honor and pleasure for me as the secretary general ASONe also the head committee of JOSSEA (JOIN OPINION SOLVING SOUTH EAST ASIA) to welcome all of you here. This International event and conference will be held from Monday, 21st to Saturday, 26th 2013.

Created three years ago, ASONe aimed to be a grassroots level organization in South East Asia region that is supporting ASEAN’s dream to be integrated into one, the ASEAN Community 2015. I believe with all of the hard work and willing of all the ASEAN people, this is not a hard thing to do.

JOSSEA 2013 is a platform for student as a young leader to speak up their ideas, to be heard, and to contribute for a better ASEAN, especially in order to form an ASEAN Community 2015. Every session of JOSSEA aims to inspire, motivate and give a new perspective for the students by giving the time to explore the diversity and the main problem of mostly countries in ASEAN, such as poverty, natural disaster, and global warming. At the last day of JOSSEA, the participant will have a

About JOSSEA

Towards Accomplishment of JOSSEA 2013Intoduction

ASEAN or Association of Southeast Asian Nations is a regional organization in Southeast Asia that has similar levels of politics, economics and culture (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, in the ASEAN Charter). ASEAN countries are included

Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos.

As the part of ASEAN main agenda to create ASEAN Community 2015, student as a future leaders have to become actively involved in increasing the growth of ASEAN’s civilization. To reach that goal, ASEAN has a main concern in the youth or student activities to promoting better understanding between students across the ASEAN university member. The reason why the ASEAN consider the students as important role because they believe students are capable to innovate in accordance with their respective areas of expertise that can contribute to the advancement of ASEAN vision.

One of the programs in ASEAN Community 2015 is to improve awareness about real fact of problem faced by ASEAN member countries and ASEAN’s sense of belonging, which is in line with the vision and mission ASONe. One of vision in Asean Community 2015 is to improve education system in ASEAN countries, which is important for this organization. Up to this year in 2013, as the follow-up of that vision,

basically created student as the future leaders can feel the real fact as social beings. This program has designed to participants in different way by following our moving camp which the concern is environmental and social awareness of ASEAN. As the result, we hope this program can improve youth’s awareness our earth and at the same time could improve their knowledge as same as they are studying in formal school. Further, we really hope another ASONe members will follow our path.

This program also aims to increase the future generations’ awareness as a

youth to be a future leader in any sector especially sense of belonging and as the agent of change by concerning in environmental awareness for create the best future ASEAN. In order to create ASEAN community 2015, through this program also we hope it can create a regional-corporation that can strengthen the relationship among students in

as ASONe members to reach the dream of this organization called ASEAN Community 2015.

Moreover, we hope that corporation that has already intertwined can fast up the multilateral relation ASEAN member countries.ASONe-JOSSEA 2013 is various activities that carries the global warming issues. We choose this topic because, as a young generation, we want to show that we care about the environment issues and

support the global warming campaign, which is our problem. This program will introduce a new model of education that including the environment. The students will study about and from the nature also learn about how to safe it so they can be a good future maker.

Objectives

1. To share common idea or perspective related to the development of ASEAN countries

2. Establishment of the international communication of Students Union in ASEAN region

3. To creating a cross-cultural understanding between Student Union in ASEAN region.

4. To establish a better cooperation in term of academic activities.

Common Framework

Towards the preparation of ASEAN Community 2015 in sector education

Action Plan

The action plan that delegates proposed during and post JOSSEA 2013 about the implementation of their action plan is divided into Short Term Plan and Long Term Plan.

The Short Term plans are:

1. Participants of JOSSEA 2013 is to discuss about problem solving based on their experiences.

2. Participants of JOSSEA 2013 will make their own project same as the JOSSEA 2013’s concern, then to be followed up in their countries in order to form an ASEAN Community 2015 and buid the real agents of change from young leaders.

Closure

After all, we made this program after conducting a wide range of considerations, which is considered as the very important point to contribute and give the positive aspects among college students, especially the community at large. Armed with sincerity of intention and feeling optimistic about the future of the nation, ASONe, also the Asean Community 2015.
