Bonshaw Public School
School Captains Report
Hey guys!
We have been having some awesome stuff. For example
we have celebrated SAS (School Administration Staff)
Day. So we celebrated by giving Mrs Sharpe and Mrs
Blackford gifts for what they do for the school. Also, last
Friday we had our Father’s Day building session, where
we built an absolutely amazing sign for dad’s to use at
their barbecues! If you were wondering, the year 3-6
students had a great time at Lake Keepit, and the kinder-
garten students stayed at the school working with Mrs Bird
and Mrs Blackford. But the school has been ecstatic
because of the Poland PowerPoint is finally finished! The
huge project was completed this week and boy are we
proud!
Thanks for reading!

This week all students finished their polish folk art eggs,
some students that finished early constructed a large egg
house for all the eggs to rest in. each of the eggs have
their own compartment so there will hopefully have no ar-
guments. All 3-6 have been assigned with a science pro-
ject this assignment includes constructing a model of our
solar system, as well as a power point. This will be a nice
way to finish of the science for this term. Macintyre young
writers have also been completed all of the stories are
ready to be posted to the judges. On father’s day we also
had a visit from a stem teacher she shared with us her In-
tel and introduced us to the We Do 2.0 kits.

We at Bonshaw Public school have had a
wonderfully educationally packed past few
weeks. The school camp was a huge success
with students pushing themselves beyond their
comfort zones, working as teams, solving
difficult problems and washing dishes. Yes,
children doing household chores and loving it.
all students represented our school well. New
friends were made, old friendships rekindled
and fresh activities attempted, from building
fires and cooking damper in the dark to
canoeing with 20 plus canoes all linked
together!
We had Ms Lollback visit us from Armidale to
teach us more about our STEM robots and set
us some challenges. This will be ongoing for
the rest of this term and next term. She taught
the Kindys about the Blue Bots and 3-6 about
the WE Build 2 Lego kits.
Students have been adding the finishing
touches to a number of projects. First of all the
McIntyre writers competition, which is a
difficult task, many students wrote way more
than the permitted 1000 words and then had the
difficult task of culling during editing. Then
they have had to finalise their Poland power
point display and complete their traditional
Polish eggs. Everything has been completed on
time, these students are a credit to the school.
Well done every body, thank you to all staff
who have put in so many hours and a huge
thank you to parents and community for your
total support. None of these wonderful things
can happen without everybody being on board.
Last but not least, we have a Polish
presentation on Wednesday 26th September at
10am at our school. This will be followed by
morning tea supplied by CWA.

Fathers Day at Bonshaw Public School
Father's Day was a huge turn out with every Dad turning up for breakfast and a learning session with the students. I hope the outcomes will stand the tests of time and be central to many a great celebration. Thank you Pauline for your huge input into
Father's Day.
Thank you to our SAS Staff, Mrs Blackford,
Mrs Sharpe and of course Mr Boyd who
unfortunately wasn’t here for the photos
Students all made an apron for their Dads
prior to our Fathers Day get together. On the
day everyone enjoyed a big breakky and then
went ahead with their project. Results speak
for themselves!!! Well done everyone!
Thanks Dad’s for making the effort to be here
on the day. 100% attendance is something to
be proud of.
The students were able to have a turn on Mr Barton’s drums.
