    XIII. VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS

    1) Hickory Regional Planning Commission has a vacancy for a seat on their boardfor a term beginning July 1, 2012. The applicant would need to 1) live inside of theportion of the City of Hickory located in Burke County, or 2) live within the IcardTownship approximately one (1) mile from the Hickory City boundary in Burke Countywhich is the Hickory ETJ. Meetings are scheduled on the 4th Wednesday of the monthat 6:00 PM at Hickory City Hall however, they average about six meetings a year. Theterm would end June 30, 2016. (For additional information on this position, contact Cal Overby,Principal Planner, City of Hickory 828-323-7487 [email protected])

    2) Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee Two vacancies exist for newappointees for a one (1) year term. Training is through the Western Piedmont Councilof Governments Aging Support Program.

    3) Western Piedmont Community College Board of Trustees - One vacancy existson the WPCC Board of Trustees to fill an unexpired term which ends June 30, 2013.The Appointee shall be a resident of Burke County and attend specified Trainingincluding Ethics training.
