Are my personal values aligned with the Amerind values we have identified?

Are our identified values “in sync” with the Amerind Mission?

How can we better incorporate the Amerind values in communications to our constituents?

5 External “Change Drivers”

Page 19: Board of Directors Retreat Amerind Foundation

Select a spokesperson, then think about the “change driver” you have been assigned

Using “brain-storming” make a list of all the possible directions that change driver might take society in the next 5-10 years

Discuss your list and determine which 1 or 2 of the possible directions are most likely, and how they might affect the Amerind Foundation

Working in Groups…..

Page 20: Board of Directors Retreat Amerind Foundation

Do you agree with each groups’ assessments?

If not, how else might the effects of the “change drivers” play out?

How does the Amerind prepare for those effects?

How Will Change Impact….

Simple numeric analysis (using 1-10 scale) of various Amerind activities and/or programs

Work in 4 groups

Discuss each line item for the columns your group has been assigned. Using a numeric scale of 1-10, come to a consensus as to what numeric score each should receive.

Snapshot Analysis

Page 23: Board of Directors Retreat Amerind Foundation

What might this exercise indicate about the “weight” of various programs?

Which of Amerind’s efforts should receive

the most attention?

How does identifying those areas of focus impact the hiring of a new Director?
