Local Artist and Landscape Designer, Traven Pelletier has put together a new creative team to bring the Ann Arbor, Dexter, Chelsea area his award winning artistic landscape work at 1885 Baker Rd, Dexter, MI in Scio Township. Some will recognize it as the Historic Barn on Baker Rd (formerly the home of “Sloan’s Nursery” and “Dexter Gar- dens”). Elemental Design will continue to design, construct and maintain landscapes, while BLOOM! will debut this April as a nursery & garden boutique. Collaborators with Traven and the Elemental Design team are Cory Mann of Poseidon Ponds & Landscap- ing and Serge van der Voo of Serge van der Voo Landscapes. By partnering with Serge, to provide master planning and landscape architecture services, as well as with Cory Mann, to provide water gardening and stormwater management services, we hope to offer our customers more informed solutions and expert services. Traven and his team will continue to design and install both small and large projects, known for customer-focused creative designs. Part of the advantage of working with Elemental is that we can both design and install your project, providing a more custom- er-friendly and flexible process, where “the poetry of the moment” can be considered. Traven works with a dynamic and creative team to unify the build (hardscape) elements of the gardenscape with the architecture, as well as the surrounding landscape. Our dedi- cation to a holistic approach to landscapes has been recognized by the Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association-- Traven and his team have won 3 industry awards over the past two years! e Garden Center and Shop will sell a myriad of garden art, vintage finds, fine art & jew- elry, gardening and water gardening supplies. We’re excited to carry DeWit garden tools, quality gloves by Ethel and most importantly, work by local artists & craſtsmen. In addi- tion, we’ll carry Ann Arbor Seed Co’s line of open-pollinated, Washtenaw-grown seeds. And, for those of you that are curious about what’s been happening over at the barn, we’ll be giving tours! Please stop on by next weekend, April 6 -7! If you stop in on Saturday, starting at 9am, we’ll be having a yard sale of older stock & fixtures we will no longer carry + bird baths galore! BLOOM!
