Technology integration cannot happen until you put the technology into practice yourself
We already do print newsletters….now let’s try doing them online communication
Goal is to learn more about using technology with kids and connect with families

Students in Irene and Jenny’s 5th grade were surveyed about their internet use and they use the 47 web site to see what’s going on in the school
Class pages are a good way to start, but blogs are more adapted and easy-to-use for newsletters since they are set up like a diary
Step 1: Gather
What do you have ready to post online?You can cut and paste text
Add 1-2 photos easily with tool bar
You’re done!
You have a diary of work done with your kids for your community to view and comment on
Step 2: Set up your blog
