FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

Dear parishioners,

The last five (5) years have been very fruit-ful. We have come a long way building our community and making ourselves proud of our Faith. The renovations, almost com-plete, are a beautiful testimony of your participation and generosity.

I feel very happy for what you and I have achieved. We know that God calls us to be where we are needed. For this reason I have to inform you that, on June 30 of this year, I will move to a new parish where I have been sent by Bishop DiMarzio: St. Paul, Corona. The same day a new pastor will become your new pastor and spiritual leader: Father Gabriel Toro, we give him the most fraternal welcome!

May God continue to accompanying us through prayer and those memories that we shared and what we did, fruitful and visible. Remember that everything we do must always be inspired "For the Greater Glory of God" (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam). Thank you for all your love and support. We are only instruments of the One who created us and summoned us to be the foundation of our community, based on our Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ! Love and Serve in everything, Father Carlos R. GUADALUPE COMMITTEE

The second consultative meeting of the Guadalupe Parochial Group held last Sunday, April 28 in the Paul VI Hall, was a great success. That meeting pro-duced a consensus, to promote greater unity among all those parishioners who maintain devotion to Our Lady of Guada-lupe. Starting May, 2019, the 2nd Satur-day of each month we will have the Mass at 8:00 pm dedi-cated to the Virgin of Guadalupe. A Rosary will precede the Mass.

Mrs. Monica de la Luz-Reyes, has being chosen as the new Coordinator of the Guadalupe Committee. Together with Mr. Rogelio Belen, who assumes the Vice-Coordinator, they will organize all the activities of the cele-bration of December 11 and 12. With our thanks and pray-ers to the previous team led by Laura Ramírez-Galeas and the new leaders, Monica and Rogelio to continue working for the parish and the Virgin of Guadalupe.

On Saturdays, May 11, 18, & 25, 2019, we are having the sac-ramental celebrations of the First Communion and Confirmation. It is a joyful moment for our families and for those receiving the Sacra-ments. Additionally, we want to inform you that the 9:00 am Mass on Saturdays during the weekends in May, are canceled.

SEGUNDA COLECTA

Este fin de semana y el próximo, la Segunda Colecta es para Mantenimiento y Reparaciones.

Queridos parroquianos, (as)

Los últimos cinco (5) años han sido muy fecundos y hemos avanzado mucho por construir nuestra comunidad y hacernos sentir orgullosos de nuestras raíces y de nuestra Fe: las renovaciones casi por com-pletarse son un hermoso testimonio de su participación y generosidad.

Me siento muy contento por lo que uste-des y yo hemos logrado pero sabemos que Dios nos llama a estar ahí donde nos lla-men y nos necesiten. Por eso tengo que comunicarles que el 30 de Junio del co-rriente año me mudaré a mi nueva parro-quia a donde he sido nombrado por el Obispo DiMarzio: San Pablo, Corona. Ese mismo día un nuevo párroco asumirá las funciones de ser su nuevo pastor y líder es-piritual: Padre Gabriel Toro, a quien le da-mos desde ahora la más fraterna bienveni-da!

Que Dios continúe acompañando a través del suave vínculo de la oración y de aque-llas memorias que serán vivencias de un compartir y un que hacer- fructifico y visi-ble, recordando que todo lo que hacemos tiene que estar siempre inspirado “Para La Mayor Gloria de Dios” (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam) gracias por todo su cariño y su apoyo, al final somos solo instrumentos de Aquel que nos ha creado y convocado y esa experiencia es la fundación de nuestra realidad comunitaria basada en la Fe en nuestro Señor Jesucristo!

GRUPO PARROQUIAL GUADALUPANO

La segunda reunión consultativa del Grupo Parroquial Guadalupano realizada el pasa-do Domingo 28 de Abril en el Aula Pablo VI, fue todo un éxito y esa reunión produjo como consenso promover una mayor uni-dad de todos aquellos parroquianos que mantienen la devoción a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, para ese efecto y a partir del mes de Mayo de 2019, el 2do Sábado de cada mes tendre-mos la Misa de las 8:00 pm dedicada a la Virgen Morena. Un rosario Guadalupano precederá la misa.

También y por votación secreta se escogió al nuevo Coordi-nador del Grupo Guadalupano, recayendo ese puesto en la Sra. Mónica de la Luz- Reyes quien junto con el Sr. Roge-lio Belén quien asume la Vice-coordinación serán los que organicen todas las actividades de la celebración del 11 y 12 de Diciembre! Con nuestros agradecimientos y oraciones al equipo anterior que dirigió Laura Ramírez-Galeas y a los nuevos líderes: Mónica y Rogelio para que sigan trabajando por la parroquia y la Virgen de Guadalupe.

El Obispo DiMarzio otorgará las Medallas

Diocesanas a dos de nuestros feligreses de-dicados: Lily Tu y María Teresa Alonso. Lily es ministra de la Eucaristía, catequista, asistente de contabilidad, lectora, fundadora del Comité Filipino Parroquial, miembro del Consejo Pastoral además la Sra. Tu está siempre disponible para ayudar con su tiem-po y generosidad. María Teresa es una parroquiana muy diná-

mica, ha organizado exitosamente importantes proyectos parroquiales como la Campaña de Generaciones de Fe. Por esta razón se le ha dado la responsabilidad de ser Re-presentante Legal Parroquial y Vicedirectora de la Oficina de Formación de Fe, también la Srta. Alonso es Coordina-dora del Equipo Litúrgico laico de la parroquia, lectora, además, es asistente de contabilidad y miembro del Consejo Pastoral. Ellas realmente son mujeres de Fe que inspiran a nuestra comunidad a trabajar unida y a dar lo mejor de no-sotros. Nuestra parroquia y la Diócesis están muy agradeci-das por todo lo que han hecho!

DIOCESAN AWARDS

Bishop DiMarzio will award with the Diocesan Medals, two of our dedicated parishioners: Lily Tu and Maria Teresa Alonso. Lily is an Eucharistic Minister, Cat-echist, Bookkeeper Assistant, Lector, Founder of the Philippine Committee in our Parish, Member of the Parish Council and Mrs. Tu is always avail-able to help with her time and gener-osity. Maria Teresa is a very dynamic parishioner, she organizes very successfully parish activities like Genera-tions of Faith campaign. That gave her the responsibility to be a Parish Trustee and the Vice-Director of the Faith Formation Office, also Ms. Alonso is Coordinator of the Lay Liturgical Team of the Parish, Lector and additional-ly She is a Bookkeeper’s Assistant and member of the Parish Council. They really are women of Faith who in-spire our community to work together and give the best of us. Our parish and the Diocese are very grateful for all you have done!

CELEBRACIÓN PARA QUINCEAÑERAS

Los requisitos para esta celebración son:

1. La familia debe estar inscrita en la parroquia y ser miembros activos (asistiendo con sobres cada se-mana) al menos por seis (6) meses.

2. La quinceañera debe estar bautizada, haber recibido su Primera Comunión y Confirmación, o, estar asistiendo a las clases de preparación para recibir la Confirmación. La quinceañera también debe perte-necer a uno de los servicios para los que necesitamos colaboración (Grupo de Jóvenes, Monaguillos, Coro).

3. Los padres de familia y la quinceañera deben hacer una cita para hablar con el párroco al menos con tres (3) meses de anticipación siempre y cuando cumplan con todos los requisitos.
