    From Seor Diaz

Many exciting things are happening in the Spanish classes in this month of April. For instance, students in 6th, 7th and 8th are learning history in Spanish. The procedure is as follows: 1. We pick a theme, in this case the topic is the

Korean War. 2. The theme is presented in English and Spanish

using BrainPOP. 3. We write a story in Spanish using ActivInspire. In the end, students will be able to understand the history topic, increase their vocabulary and read more fluently. This is an interdisciplinary activity in coordination with Mr. Jeff Boyle, who is studying the same subject, the Korean War, in his class. Stu-dents are enjoying the use of technology in their Spanish class. Students in 4th and 5th grades are learning traditional songs from different countries in Latin America to be sung during the Fiesta Latina. This involves learning the lyrics in Spanish and some Latin rhythms. They are excited about singing in Spanish!
