    To provide administrative and technical support to the Environmental Health ServicesDepartment and other team members of the Regulatory Services Group.

    Key Roles, Tasks and Responsibilities

    1.

    To carry out administrative and clerical duties for Environmental Health / Services, the DogWardens and Licensing, including answering phones, inputting data on Flare and LalPacdatabases. Processing, determining and issue of applications including but not limited to:

    Premises licenses Gambling Taxi and hackney carriage drivers, vehicles and operators

    Beauty licenses Car parking season tickets and permits

    Animal boarding establishments Pet shop licenses

    Riding establishments Dog breeding and

    Dangerous wild animals

    2.To raise purchase orders and manage payments related to service functions

    3.To maintain work records as directed, to ensure computer records and filing systems areaccurate and kept up to date, and extract information and run reports as required.

    4.To type correspondence, reports and any other documents for the Environmental Health andEnvironmental Services Team Leaders.

    5. To carry out verification checks and to countersign CRB disclosure checks.

    6.To carry out general clerical duties as required.

    7.

    Ensure communication with businesses and members of the public meet the highest standards todeliver a consistent and brilliant level of customer satisfaction. This will include by phone, email,letter and face to face.

    8.To undergo designated training sessions as necessary, which may be out of normal workinghours and/or at other establishments as may be required.

    9.

    To be flexible in approach to the work of the Environmental Health Service, undertake any otherduties as may be deemed necessary and where appropriate or when directed to do so by any ofthe Environmental Health Services Management Team. This will include cover for the RegulatoryServices Administrator post.

    10.

    To understand the complexities of the different work areas within environmental services and howthese interrelate. To work closely with all team members and to support the needs of the work

    areas as required.

    11.All officers are expected to contribute and work towards the on-going polices on CommunityDevelopment, Best Value, Environmental Issues, Crime and Disorder and Equal Opportunities.
