Special Events
• Fun Activity -‘Twist and Turn’-Children had fun repeating the tongue
twisters and enjoyed doing various fun filled activities/exercises.
•Army Day -On 15th January, children witnessed an informative video about
the Indian army. They showed their gratitude towards the soldiers of the
Indian Army by making colourful posters and stick puppets.
•Republic Day- 1. Ramp Walk [Unity in Diversity]
2. Special Assembly -Students of KG F presented a
spectacular display of unity in diversity.
The school bid a warm farewell to
Ms. Kalpna Bisaria, after having
served the institution for 16 years. We
wish her happiness, good health and
a wonderful life ahead.
CLASSES I & II
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY:- ‘SUBHAS CHANDRA BOSE’
• On the eve of the birth anniversary of the most beloved
National Hero, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the students of
classes I F and I G paid a heart touching tribute to the
valorous freedom fighter through a beautiful special
assembly.
• The inspiring glimpses showing his love for the country and
his remarkable contribution to the freedom struggle will
always be remembered and admired.
CELEBRATIONS:-

❑ PAYING TRIBUTE TO OUR PATRON SHRI B.K.BIRLAJI
• The inspiring life of Shri B.K.Birlaji, his contribution towards
building a strong nation and the way he touched the lives of
innumerable people, was discussed and also brought to light
through a short movie for the little children.
❑ REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION (25.01.2021)
• The day was celebrated with great fervour.
• Presentation of patriotic poems / songs by children.
• Tricolour Sandwich Making
• Making the Tricolour Badge (Craft work)
❑ LIFE SKILL ACTIVITIES:
As a part of making children understand the importance of saving
money and to develop their creativity in using waste material to
aesthetically design and make new things, the students were taught the
following:-
i) Making a piggy bank from any empty carton or box (Class I)
ii) Decorative paper balls from any wastepaper (Class II)

FITNESS PROGRAMME FOR OUR LITTLE ONES TO ENJOY THE GLOW OF GOODHEALTH-‘AAJ SE ADHA GHANTA ROZ, FITNESS KA DAILY DOSE’ 30 minutes dailyfitness session.

SNIPPETS FROM THE CLASSROOM:
•MORNING ASSEMBLYThe day begins with a prayer and thought, followed by childrenpresenting the amazing facts using pictures or props. Show & Tell andQuiz are other activities that are also done regularly.

CLASSES I & II
1. ACTIVITIES OF THE ENGLISH WEEK (CLASSES I & II )-
The major focus of celebrating English Week was Vocabulary Enrichment,
strong foundation of phonemes and blends for better understanding of words,
honing up the creative thinking skills and to be able to articulate ones thoughts,
experiences and ideas in English . (ENGLISH)
CLASS I:-
i) CLAY MODELLING- THE NATIONAL BIRD PEACOCK :-
- Integration with craft work for Hindi ओऔरओ ki matra. (HINDI)
ii) SALAD MAKING - using raw and cooked ingredients:- The aim of the activity
was to make children aware of the names of the various vegetables used in
making salads and the importance of eating them. Also, to understand about the
vegetables that can be eaten raw and the ones that can be eaten only after
cooking. (HINDI)
CLASSES I & II
2.COIN RUBBING- Children created different patterns and designs by rubbing
pencil colours on the coins. Observing the unique things printed on coins and
its journey down the ages, was an interesting discovery for the little children.
(MATHEMATICS)
3.CURRENCY DESIGNING – After observing the currency notes minutely,
children were asked to design a currency note creatively.
CLASSES I & II
CLASS II:-
1.STORY NARRATION BY CHILDREN ON FEMALE WARRIORS OF INDIA(ENGLISH)2.POEM RECITATION -Children were asked to recite any one poem by thesame poet apart from the one mentioned in the text book. (ENGLISH)3.FORTUNE TELLER -Integrating craftwork for learning the table of 8.(MATHEMATICS)4.MULTIPLICATION CHART- for memorizing all the tables from 1 to 10(MATHEMATICS)5.MAKING OF ‘MAUSAM CHAKRA’ – The focus of this craft activity was toenable children understand the order of different seasons, their names inHindi, the changes in nature during the various seasons, clothes worn / fruitsand vegetables eaten and the festivals celebrated in each of them. (HINDI)6.EXPIRY DATE AND MANUFACTURING DATE (In connection to the topic‘MAHINO KE NAAM’) – Children were asked to collect five eatables sealed inpackets and write their Manufacturing and Expiry dates along with the dateand months in Hindi .(HINDI)
PODCAST :- Podcasts were prepared in all subjects by the teachers andshared with the students every week. These podcasts were discussedwith the students during the online sessions.

House activities :
• Class 3 -Weave a story
• Classes 4&5 - Students tickled their brains with an interesting Math quiz.
• Interdisciplinary Project for class 4 on 16.01.21
An interdisciplinary project was held on 16th January '21for class 4. All the students participated with great vigourand thoroughly enjoyed giving their performances ontopics like food, monuments, shopping and weather in theform of short skits, PPT presentations, short videos,articles, cartoons, singing songs and dances.
• The school paid its tribute to our founder Shri B.K.Birlaji on12th January to mark his centenary birth anniversary. Videosand collages were shared in the classes to give an insight tothe life of the Late Birlaji's and his immense contribution inthe field of education and nation building.
CLASSES III- V
Special Assemblies:
• Students of Class III D enthusiastically participated in the Special Assembly
on the topic - “Rashtrabhasha - Hindi”.They portrayed the importance of the
Hindi language through poem, dance and amazing facts of the language.
Students also talked about the history of the language and it’s significance in
modern times.
• The presence and successful survival of “Democracy” in such diverse
conditions is the most celebrated fact about our country and constitution. To
strengthen the significance and importance of the constitution, class 3E
presented a special assembly on the Indian Constitution. The students
explained the significance of the Constitution Day.
Republic Day Celebration
The Republic Day celebrations were held on 25.01.2021 by classes
3/4/5.Students enjoyed various activities like making tricolour buntings,
bookmarks of National Symbols and a tricolour sandwiches. The celebrationsfilled their hearts with patriotic fervour and love for their motherland.
CLASSES III- V

WORKSHOPS & WEBINARS
FOR TEACHERS:-
• Online Training Programme for teachers- NISHTHA on DIKSHA portal.
• Integrated online learning PROGRAMME - by Ms. P Bajwa and
Mr. L. Abraham
• 30-30 STEM - by Mr. Manish Jain. Conducted by CBSE in collaboration with
CCL IIT Gandhinagar (A 30 week programme, restarting from 26.01. 21)
• CBSE INDIA HERITAGE QUIZ 2020-21 ON DIKSHA PLATFORM for
children. (Also attempted by all the teachers.)
• A workshop was conducted by TUK on Integrated Online Learning Program.
Ms Poornima Bajwa and Mr Lovelish Abraham were the resource persons.
• 30 -30 STEM –Workshop on “Mysteries of Cricket”
FOR STUDENTS:
Birla Vidya Niketan in association with
Kiran Nadar Museum of Art organised a
workshop on Step Card Making for the
students of the Art and Craft clubs on the
8th of January 2021.The workshop was
via a video where the resource person
gave a hands on training on paper folding
and decorating the same with different
cutouts of animals ,trees ,houses etc. The
resource person also gave an insight into
the various Art Museums by having an
interactive session with the students. The
workshop enjoyed active participation by
the students and their parents.
Birla Vidya Niketan in association with
Kiran Nadar Museum of Art organised an
Origami workshop for the students of the
Art and Craft clubs on the 22nd of January
2021.
The workshop was in a video form where
the resource person taught the students
how to make Tricolour Lotus flower with
Origami sheets. The students participated
in the workshop enthusiastically and
enjoyed the session thoroughly.
Achievements:
Junior school students participated in the interschool event 'Mysteriously
Marvellous' organised by Mahadevi Birla World Academy which
culminated on 30th January 2021. Our students displayed the best of
their skills and bagged the following prizes:
1. 1st Position- Shadow In The Armchair - Vihaan Jaju - V E
2. 2nd Position – Detect o word- Arnav Bablani V E and Prabhjas

Online Interschool Aerobics Competition was organised by Birla Vidya
Niketan, Junior School on 30th January 2021. Participants from various
renowned schools of Delhi presented marvellous performances matching
their steps to music. The results are:
