Situated on the sprawling picturesque landscape at Suri ,BIET is the first degree level engineering college in the district of Birbhum. The sacred mission of the Institution is to impart high quality technical education and to create expert techno-professionals. Birbhum Institute of Engineering &Technology was established by ICAREBirbhum in 2000 with Honourable Padmashree Professor Late (Dr.) Ramaranjan Mukherji as its Chairperson.Since then this Govt-aided non-profitable and TEQIP-II project funded organization has been striving for perfection and excellence with the guidance from eminent academician Professor Amitabha Ghosh , Former Director,IIT,Kharagpur and presently Chairman , BOG, BIET. We are privileged to have Professor Ajoy Ray,VC,BESU as an eminent member of our Board of Governors.

With its current intake of 120 students the department maintain an good teacher student ratio and has advanced laboratories fulfilling more than the university. 

Organizing Committee

The objective of the workshop is to bring together experts from Industries, Academia, R&D Institutions and other user communities on a common platform to discuss and share their expertise and ideas about advanced technologies & recent trends in the field of Communication engineering , and Signal Processing and provide demonstration in the related topics.
