The group Extinction Rebellionsaid it targeted printworks at Brox-bourne, north of London, andKnowsley in northwest England, thatare owned by Rupert Murdoch'sNews Corp.

An elephant who has becomea cause celebre for animalrights activists around theworld will be allowed to leavehis Pakistani zoo and trans-ferred to better conditions,the animal welfare grouphelping with the case said onSaturday.

Dubbed the 'world's loneli-est elephant' by his support-ers, Kaavan has languished ata zoo in Islamabad for morethan 35 years.

Martin Bauer, a spokesmanfor Four Paws, said the ele-phant has been finally givenmedical approval to travel,most likely to Cambodia,where he will find compan-ionship and better condi-tions.

Rescuing Kaavan from thezoo's dire conditions attractedthe attention of animal ac-tivists around the world, andcelebrities including USsinger Cher, who lobbied forhis relocation.
