April 15, 2013 To Whom it May Concern: Bill Anderson and I worked together at The Olive Garden in Hayward, California from 2009-2011. I served as his Sales Manager and Service Manager, while he was the General Manager. Bill was transferred to The Olive Garden in San Jose, California, and we remained in contact from 2011-2013 as I consulted him for advice. Bill’s primary responsibilities as the General Manager were to oversee the running of the entire restaurant while supervising the Sales, Service, and Culinary Managers. In 2009, when Bill was transferred to the Hayward Olive Garden, I had many questions about the operations and coaching of the team. Bill was eager to assist me with coaching and advice. I became successful, due to his wise words and actions. Bill is an excellent leader, demonstrating time and time again his abilities as a pillar of wisdom in a business, understanding and coaching the managers and team about the business from the ground up. Bill understands profit and loss, waste, and the bottom line, which proved beneficial for the Hayward Olive Garden. During the two years we worked together this Olive Garden location received recognition for the restaurant of the year. I was wowed by Bill Anderson’s ability to coach in laymen’s terms the business so that everyone was on board with waste, profit and loss, and just basically making the restaurant more profitable. He was truly awe-inspiring to work with. In addition to Bill Anderson’s thorough business knowledge, he possesses a calm focused positive attitude. The restaurant business can be stressful and even chaotic at times. I recall as a new manager, this was hard for me to juggle and understand. I watched Bill and learned from him. During high volume business Bill would remain calm, with an upbeat positive outlook. I modeled this behaviour from him and found that this filtered down to the entire shift. This
