to me.

I am a fan

I am a fanatic

I love the San Francisco Giants

Did you know they are the 2010 World Series Champs?

It is more than a game to me

I am emotionally invested

My relationship to baseball is very sticky

Maybe for you it was…

the grace of the ballet

the wonders of your first computer

experiencing your first Dead show

or driving in your first car

But I am also a fan of…

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

Quentin Tarantino films

and

Unfortunately, not all things are created equal

My emotional connection with the Giants

It is much more sticky

is much greater than with Reese’s

The switching costs are very different…
