BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT YOUR CLUB!
THIS MAY WE CELEBRATED OUR THREE C’S.CARPETING • CURTAINS • CONDITIONING
The carpeting is beautiful and fit for a palace such asthatlegendary summer palace in Spain where magiciansused to hang their top hats.
The curtains for our small stage performances were oncelarge stage drops.
After our long awaited meeting with the Santa BarbaraArchitectural Review Board our plans were approved. A
few changes were needed but we are going ahead withinstalling our new air conditioning system. (An old gagabout our Santa Barbara Paradise was: “If the weather inSanta Barbara is over 72 degrees it’s a heat wave – if it’sunder 72 degrees it’s a cold snap.”
As we march boldly into June we are very happy withour progress.

Academy Of Magical Arts (AMA)Is often referred to as “The Magic Castle” – The LarsenBrothers created two entities. Bill Larsen made theirFather’s dream come true when he resurrected theAcademy as a non-profit organization. Milt Larsenconceived and physically created the clubhouse for theAMA and called it “The Magic Castle.” The AMA is acorporation run by a Board of Directors. Its membersare worldwide and is headquartered at the MagicCastle in Hollywood.
Magic Castles Inc.® (MCI)Magic Castles Inc. is solely owned by Milt and ArleneLarsen and has many interests in the fields of TV,music, theatre and other entertainment venues.
The Magic Castle Cabaret is an example of the use ofour trademark brand for an independent venturelocated beyond the exclusive use rights of the AMA.
Over the past 55 years the Magic Castles Inc. has beenoffered many proposals to license our brand foranother Magic Castle. We have recently partneredwith a major entertainment company in China andare very excited about their plans to include TheMagic Castle in a future theme park in Beijing. DaleHindman (COO of Magic Castles Inc.) and I have justreturned from a week in Beijing and have signed thefinal contracts. Their concept for the new theme parkcombines the ancient culture of magic with themodern magic of Hollywood.
