What is PRAYER And HOW do we PRAY?

James 5:16 — “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

What is PRAYER? — Prayer is talking with God — communicating personally and directly to Him.

Key Verses about PRAYER — I Timothy 2:1 — (DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRAYER) — “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;” (S.P.I.T.) HOW TO PRAY — Keys from THE LORD’S PRAYER — Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. BEGIN WITH WORSHIP. Thy Kingdom Come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. PRAY FOR GOD’S WILL. Give us this day our daily bread. PRAY FOR YOUR NEEDS. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. PRAY TO WITHSTAND EVIL. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen PRAISE GOD, WITH FAITH.
