Adequacy of budget allocation

Budget requirements are collected from every departments and sections before the

commencement of the financial year. Allocations are made as per the availability of funds.

Spending is monitored by the accounts section. Supplementary allocations are made in

special cases. The institution carefully monitors the expenses so that the necessities are

met without affecting the smooth working of the institution. The management has been

very efficiently doing this over the past several years that the institution never had any

serious budget crunch that affected the functioning of the college.

Departmental Activities during Covid-19 Lockdown

The year 2020 has made everyone witness to an extraordinary situation rising out of a global

pandemic and subsequent lockdown. With this unprecedented lockdown everything has come

to an abrupt halt and the academic world is not an exception. Because of the forced closure of

educational institutions, the entire higher education system has been badly disturbed. In this

type of situation e-learning has emerged as the most effective option – both for the students/

teachers as well as the college/ university management. Faculty members at BCE, Bhagalpur

are grappling with new ways of managing this sudden transition to online education after the

physical classrooms do not remain a viable option anymore. Various platforms such as Zoom,

Google Meet, Google Classroom etc. are being explored for online teaching, webinars, training

and so on. Here is a quick glance at education and management at BCE during the lockdown

phase.
