Bertram Yacht hosted its firstannual “Captain’s Day” at theBertram factory on September 8th,2007. The event was designed anddedicated exclusively for Captainsbecause Bertram knows how muchCaptains care about every detail thatgoes into the powerful sportfishingyacht they command. Approximately35 Captains from around the worldattended the event to learn aboutBertram’s latest initiatives oncustomer service, quality andengineering straight from theBertram executives that manage these functions.

The game is all about catching fishand having a good time, but Bertramrecognizes that Captains are the eyes,ears and mouths of the sportfishingyacht industry, and decided to tap intothis influential segment with adedicated event. The event began withan in-depth seminar with Bertram’sProduct Design Team followed byopen discussion sessions for eachtopic, giving Captains the opportunityto share opinions, knowledge andknow-how with Bertram’s maindecision makers.

The seminar was followed by a twohour guided tour of Bertram’s 17 acre

manufacturing facilities, as well as anopportunity to see two of Bertram’slatest models in action with a cruisearound scenic Miami on the 570 and630 models. After the cruise, theCaptains were able to ask questionsand offer additional suggestionsregarding the quality and performanceof the yachts while dining with theBertram team.

Data andanalysis generated by the new QualityControl System will be utilized as adriver of change through the BertramProduct Excellence Committee.

Bertram is also investing major resources into developing a seamlessdelivery process. The new Bertram Delivery Team is 100% focused anddedicated to the development and execution of this process.

New & ImprovedBertram OwnersManual.

In addition to the new seamlessdelivery process, Bertram introduces its new and improved owner’s manual.This manual contains photographicdocuments tailored not just to themodel, but also to each individual hull. Owners will find the manual easier to follow with precise solutions,leading to a decrease in downtime and more time to enjoy your Bertram at sea.

The Bertram Product Excellence Committee was formed to discuss anysubjects of concern. The first Wednesday of every month, the Chairman,President and heads of all departments will gather to brief the team on variousissues and solutions, customer comments, and broker and inspector input.
