The Morgan County Commission

  • 3 members: Rhonda Hutchinson, Stacy Dugan and Brad Close (recently elected to replace Tommy Swaim)

5. They each have a 6 year term with one member expiring every 2 years. 6. They are in charge of the financial affairs of Morgan County.The commissioners are known to have disagreements on public policy and county regulations. The commissioners used to be the good ole boys until 2 women were elected.

The zoning ordinance proposal fell 4-1 in the November election.It was a hot issue around town with signs for both parties.Vote No Zoning signs were borrowed from Berkeley County so there were an abundance of them compared to the Vote For Zoning signs.
