BELOW ARE SOME IDEAS TO HELP YOU PREPARE TO CELEBRATE OUR VISION, MISSION AND VALUES DURING TEAM MEMBER APPRECIATION WEEK: Download the Team Member Appreciation Week posters located on http://www.hilton- recognition.com/tm-appreciation-week-tools, have them printed professionally and post throughout your heart-of-house areas. Ask Department Heads to facilitate a discussion about how Hilton’s Vision, Mission and Values are brought to life in their department. Post blank poster paper in each department and challenge the department Team Members to write down all the things they do each day in relation to the Vision, Mission and Values. Host an art contest challenging each department to create a Vision, Mission and Values board in their area and creatively decorate it in a way that highlights the critical role they play in living these key principles. Create sweet treats with the Vision, Mission or Values printed on them. Print the Team Member Appreciation Week thank you cards and challenge each manager to write special thank you notes for Team Members who consistently live the Vision, Mission and Values. Select a Team Member for each Value—someone who goes above and beyond to demonstrate behaviors that exemplify this Value. Celebrate these Team Members with the team and specifically call-out examples of how they live the Value for which they are being recognized. Have each Department Head pick a department (other than their own) to visit during the day to thank them specifically for how they live the Vision, Mission and Values and perhaps bring them a special treat. Hold a selfie contest and invite Team Members to take selfies demonstrating one of the Values. Post the photos either online or on a board, and ask the team to vote for their favorite. behavior, immediately recognize the Team Member and give them a small treat, such as candy using the Team Member Appreciation Week candy wrappers in the e-Kit. Consider assigning a time or route for each manager and giving them a minimum number of Team Members to recognize during the day or week.

• Have a team competition during a meeting, celebration or event to see which team can write out the Vision, Mission and Values the quickest. If you want to make it easier, create fill-in-the-blank forms or posters.

• Assign the Vision, Mission or one of the Values to each department, and provide them space on a heart-of-house wall to create a mural/picture that illustrates the concept that they were assigned.

• Assign a Value to each department and ask them to create a short video depicting that Value.

• Ask Team Members to share songs that they feel represent the Vision, Mission or Values and create a playlist. Share the playlist in the Team Member restaurant/breakroom and recognize the Team Members who contributed.
