bad if something happened to DNA 2. You can just put down the part of the

information you need—shorter/simpler

Think of it like this:DNA = master copyRNA = blueprints…you don’t need the

• Is the first step in making a protein (polypeptide)• Occurs in the nucleus• DNA is used to make RNA– RNA is then sent out into the cell to make proteins– It’s usually just a section of the DNA strand (gene)
